I am looking forward to the final "changing of the guard." It needs to happen. Too many years of suffering - lack of playoff hope. I wouldn't trade anyone before camp or the start of the season. Let camp and the beginning of the season decide who should be on the roster, then deal with a plan for trading and collecting more draft picks.

I am tired of hearing that Steve Y did it again, building a contender..like Tamp Bay. He made similar moves last year and looked where they ended up. I believe KA will get there before SY.

The NHL draft is tricky, like MLB. Unlike NFL and NBA, most drafted do not hit the big club for a year or two. It would help if you looked at all your players, from NHL down. Look at the numbers (#centermen, # wingers, #rhd, #lhd,...) and fill them thru the draft where you think you are short. As we have seen, sometimes relying on free agency does not work.

WHAT - used interrogatively as a request for specific information. In regards to bringing Foligno back. I would not like to see it. It takes a spot away from the kids in Rochester. Capiche

I am sure they are. I do not want to see another roster spot taken up by an older player and say he brings "leadership" to the locker room. The Sabres have enough leadership. Right now, there is no room for VO.

We have two leaders now on the roster -KO and Zemus. As a fan, I would rather see the kids play instead of another old, you what you get, player.

It is incredible to me how they have handled that, Johnson. That Johnson has developed quite a big head. Someone in upper management needs to put some hands on that Johnson and straighten it out. There is also the possibility that Johnson is very soft and may not be able to stand up in the NHL. Another thing, I cannot remember a big Johnson ever making it on the ice? Most Johnson's shrink.

Hopefully, the elbow/arm has healed. It appears so by all the golf events and HR swings he has been taking. I do like the possible threat of two tight ends for the offense. Will keep the defense honest and hopefully slow down the pass rush. OC should watch film when New England had Gronk and Hernandez.

It appears Hershey has stellar defense and goaltending.

Bringing in a vet goalie is also a risk. How many goalies are traded for or purchased as free agents and do not live up to their billing? It happens. Improve the D, and the goalies will flourish.

Comries AHL stats were 910 average save percentage. Sabres could use that.

Exactly, he needs consistent playing time to prove his worth. Not enough games for him.

Comrie did not get enough looks. UPL is still developing. Subban is playing well. Just my take.

Adams did a good job. Didn't sell the farm for one or two players. Remained patient and followed his plan. Look at Bill's cap issues. Hand-cuffed with a stud receiver and QB but nothing else. I believe the Sabres are in a better place than the Bills moving into next season. Improve the D with the right player, add the young guns in the AHL-CHL or whatever, get the four goalies playing time, and the playoffs are here.

Goalies need playing time. Between Levi, UPL, Comrie, and Subban - this team needs to figure out a plan to keep them sharp. Four goalies who all are serviceable. Just need to figure out a schedule to get each of them playing time and improve the defense.

I think the competition for the forwards will be at an all-time high with the young players that have developed. I would not sell the farm for a forward but would add depth to the Defense. Goaltending seems to be improving with Levi and Subbans development in Rochester. Add UPL and Comrie, the goaltending should be good enough. Those goalies need playing time to stay sharp and continue developing.

Wonder if Levi could head to Rochester for the playoffs (apologies if already mentioned)? I also have read on the Amerk site, that Subban is playing better.

Comrie's AHL save percentage is better than UPL's. Uhlmark's save percentage in the AHL was similar to Comrie's. Maybe Comrie needs more NHL time in net?

I am worried also. I hope Josh continues to work hard on his game in the off-season more than his golf. Both Diggs and Allen need to "patch things up." If not I would trade Diggs now. OL needs some help or a better scheme. Defensively will go thru some growing pains and need some help with the draft.

Finally watched a full game. Thoughts: Tuch is a stud. Was not impressed with Mitts or VO - to weak on the puck. The kids are still growing. Was shocked on how bad the passes were getting out of the defensive zone. Carolina did a good job closing up the middle of the ice.

Tough on the players to get back up and play again this Sunday. I hope they are recieving some support from experts on handling what they saw and are going thru currently. I was reminded by someone, think of fireman, police officers, war veterans on how they had to handle watching someone they worked with / lived with, see situations like this and then have to brush themselves off and go back at it. Man.....

It will be tough just to show up and compete against the Patriots, let alone finish the Bengal game.
