I agree. That's the team I want centered around 4 or 5 highly skilled guys.....some of them should have an edge to.......each line has guys that embrace physical play and lay it all out for their teammates.

I've moved into this camp throughout the day. Matthews bothers him to. And to say "well Sam had a good year." That really really really rubbed me the wrong way. That is not how a "Captain" should be thinking let alone say out loud. Freaking embarrassing.

Can't do this either. League has gone full soft. Everyone plays the same way same style. It's not until the playoffs the play ramps up, whistles get put away, and then things tighten up. There is a reason the Caps went with "size." You can keep players safe and still have teams like the 95-96 Sabres. It's a shame we don't. Tough and gritty does not have to equal cheap and dirty.

This is worse then ROR, way worse but not quite 7/1/07. He's given me absolutely zero reason to miss him bc he's done the math I did. By the time we're legit contenders Eichel will be 30. Maybe. For now he has the reputation or stigma of being the Captain of a perennial loser. It's not his fault. He was made captain too soon. And was drafted by a team led by a meddling clueless owner that was drunk on the idea of McEichel or bust. This was all doomed to fail the second LaFontaine left for reasons still unknown.

Pretty sure like everyone else in that room they are sick of zooming and all things this pandemic. This should be acknowledged. These are still "kids" playing the game they love going on 1 year plus no fans no normal it's the prime of some of their careers. I'd be ticked daily. Especially if we were out of contention.

Always felt goaltending and the coach was the only issue entering the season. We might have solved both. Couple that with the development and play of kids I thought wouldn't make it, I'll just say I feel much better about the team. Plus Adams adding to his staff and I get the sense Pegula is finally figured out he needs to gtfo of the way. Jack Eichel is now the biggest question going forward. Is he the Captain of this team in more then just title? More importantly, are we concerned about this injury? Oh yea and that MNC that kicks in.

FYI did anyone notice the biggest news yesterday was actually what Paul Hamilton said on the Instigators. I listened to it today. They were talking about goalies and Peters was adamant UPL get a game before the end of the season. Rivet said no way. Hamilton said "some people" thought he should have started the year with the big club. Peters pressed him asked him who and Paul said "Terry." The man needs to be quarantined from this team. It's so obvious he's been the problem.

We actually need more of this in the top 6 not the bottom 3.

Why? Hall's value, how he's perceived has all only plummeted this year. I never expected a first. No team was going to do that unless there was a bidding war. I was hoping for a prospect and we got one under team control that I'm willing to see. He's been in a winning franchise. When you build a team you don't do what Terry and Co did from 2011 to 2020. Which was draft atrociously and sign big money contracts to UFAs that busted.

Didn't Hall have a NMC? So our options were somewhat limited if the teams on his list didn't even want him.

Just one massive reason why these kids finishing strong is a big deal. These games are far from meaningless. Now get an actual prospect for Hall and a pick.

Sorry if I missed if posted... They are now 7-5-3 when Ullmark starts. 1-18-3 in the others. That's your stat of the year imo. I want him and anyone other then Hutton to compete for the job and let it sort out knowing Ullmark is reliable and potentially beginning to put it all together.

So 4 GMs in 8 years. Another coach is a certainty. That will be 4 in 6 years? Who wants to come here? Who even wants these jobs? The Krueger hire was clearly all Terry. Botterill I think we can all now safely say in addition to sucking at his job probably had a problem with Terry hiring Ralph so he was canned. Terry Pegula is clearly the problem. This team needs a President because it needs to shake the fact (it's not an impression anymore) that the clueless owner is too involved and contributed to decisions from awful hires to bad contracts. For a decade now.
