Yesterday's game was a choice between two evils or devils for me. I despise the Ravens and hate the Patriots. We were dancing in our house when the Ravens threw that interception. I was convinced they were going to win. The Ravens were the scariest team in the playoffs IMO. Flacco is a big time playoff QB and he showed it yesterday again. I agree that was a crazy decision to go for it there. Too much time on the clock. But you know, that is what the Ravens do. They throw more deep passes than any team in the league. They usually get a catch, TD or PI out of them, Flacco's arm is really strong and most DBs can't believe he can throw it that far and accurately. Now I'm all in on the winner of Manning/Luck. That WR Option pass NE pulled off was legendary. Big stage, big time, big momentum. What a call at that time of the game. They suckered and I mean suckered the ENTIRE Ravens defense on that. Nice call by Josh McDaniels.

I think most Americans are immune to collateral damage casualties. It is the way we package our news and pentagon videos. You see the building blow up but not the aftermath of all the mangled, twisted and burned bodies. We are led to believe it is a "surgical" strike.

Varrone and Grigs returned to Rochester There goes the goal scorers of late. It's not like the Sabres need their offense.

I saw or read this explanation the other day: Costs per oil barrel production: Saudi: $17 US: $54 The report basically said Saudis can ride the price down and the US can't.

Our little corner bar has been violated. I guess the good news is we will get a shiny new server with more capacity. Just in time for the Sabres run to 9th place.

Agreed, the top line GEM, is really a brown diamond and no longer sparkles.

Unemployment down, jobs up, inflation low, loan rates low, gas approaching sub $2 per gallon. Obama to propose 2 years of free community college. He's on a roll.

So I bought my kids Surface 2s for Christmas. You know the one; you've seen the commercial where the keyboard magnetically snaps in. Pretty dang cool. So they open them on Christmas only to discover that they don't come with the keyboards. On Amazon on Christmas day ordering two keyboards for 125 per. Ever commercial shows them with the keyboards and no where did the Best Buy add say keyboard sold separately. Ouch.

Taylor Hall thinks the Oilers will have a stronger second half. "I know we're in last place, but I can't see us finishing the season in last place, it just won't happen," Hall said. The Oilers are feeling optimistic right now because they've gone 2-0-2 in their last four contests. That's not bad, but it's hardly cause for celebration or a long enough stretch of success to read too much into. Edmonton also had a four-game winning streak earlier this season, but that was drowned out by 11 and nine-game losing streaks. Perhaps the Oilers will do better going forward, but they are hard to believe in at this time. Source: Edmonton Sun
