  1. Price coming off B2B shutouts and Sabres on a slope of -14x. My guess is Sabres chase Price in a "where has that been all season" game.
  2. Hands down craziest ending to a Superbowl ever
  3. I must be getting old.. That half time show did nothing for me.
  4. 29 seconds, 80 yards and a TD. Impressive.
  5. Absolutely, positively awesome. "you're never as good as you think you are and you're never as bad as you think you are... you're somewhere right in the middle" ... words to humble and live by
  6. <--------- This 14 game :wallbash: loss/ :worthy: win streak brings out the  crank/joy  in people. This has to be the most bi-polar fan base on the planet. / :w00t:
  7. Pretty amazing to realize they finished the month of January without a win. That is near impossible to do. Stunning.
  8. And the inevitable collapse is ON
  9. Kassian with an assist
  10. Well, ..... missing meetings happens all the time in sports and is always treated the same way. If he misses a second or third one, then I pay attention.
  11. much ado about nothing
  12. No. I don't think it increases my ability to follow the play and with the myopic focus, you would lose too much of what others are doing. As a play replay mechanism, sure, but only in limited doses.
  13. $1.99/gallon gas. Sweet.... Make it last... Sub 30 fill-ups. Yes!!!
  14. NSFW means click now. That was pretty well done.
  15. Now that is a different argument(s). I don't know if the labor market is rightsized for the college-age population. I have zero doubts that a corporation will leave US soil the moment it perceives a better deal (labor, taxes, incentives) is out there. Made in America has been replaced by made as cheaply as possible so as to maximize profits. I wonder what the tycoons of the 1900s would think about today's economic polices.
  16. Your optics are too small.. Government, Defense Contractors, Universities, Energy, Tech, Space, Aviation, Engineering, Financial Markets, Start Ups, Biotech, Big Pharma, Doctors, Lawyers, Health Care, etc.. I could go on. Our future depends on an educated work force not one destined for an assembly line. I guess I reject the basic premise that our government wants a country full of dolts to protect their place in the proletariat.
  17. Your statement was "Corporations are funding a government bent on keeping us too dumb to understand and too overworked to care about politics. And when that happens you end up with a bloated, dysfunctional government." If the government is keeping us dumb and the corporations are supporting that, then where does Google or Pfizer find their labor to exist, to make money, to pay the Government to keep us dumb?
  18. Do you really, really believe a company like Google or Pfizer hires dolts and their long term interests are beholden by an uniformed, incapable generation of people?
  19. I can't get there in my head. I am sure that is not the case in the Tech, Big Pharm, Energy, etc. Maybe a Wal mart or Micky D, maybe... I paid 4.50 for a loaf of pumpernickel/Rye bread the other day. I didn't pay attention to the price until I got to the register. I was shocked. The price of food these days is stunning...
  20. Hmmm.. I thought their skating has really fallen off this year. Must be a coincidence or the evil genius if GMTM to make them skate and pass like they are playing in mud..
  21. Wow.. You moved to NC and they names two streets after you. Impressive.
  22. Bam! GoDD see you in 90 days when you get out of the pokie.
  23. And that's a democrat saying that BS
  24. "Robert Reich, a professor of Public Policy at the University of California-Berkeley and former Secretary of Labor, has suggested the middle class be defined as households making 50 percent higher and lower than the median, which would mean the average middle class annual income is $25,500 to $76,500". In my opinion, those were the manufacturing/union jobs that are now going, going, gone. There is no universally accepted definition of middle class. It is a state of mind. If you are not uber rich and don't want to be classified as poor, then you happily accept middle class.
  25. I hate what the internet is becoming. Want to read a story, watch this ad first. Want to watch a youtube video, first clear that annoying ad that pops up. I recognize companies need to be profitable, but the ads are really becoming hyper annoying.
