Buffalo has an abysmal record of late against Columbus. There is no need to worry. This ends Thursday.

Ovi, by the slightest of margins for me

2 more points for my guy tonight. Nice goal, beautiful assist.

Checking in after the game with some observations: Larsson is a player. That feed on the Ennis goal was a beauty. Canes doubled up Buffalo in SOG in every period. Crowd behaved. Cheered the Sabres goals. You could tell they wanted the Carolina comeback. The last five minutes were fun. Kids and I had a great time. Now go wrap this thing up in Columbus.

hmm.. never have been accused of trolling before. Is it to hard to believe I think he has more potential than the prevailing opinion on here and the GM?

I'm going to my first and only Sabres game tonight. I want a win, screw the tank for tonight. Let Zona finish this for us.

Why not? I know the sample size is limited. But imagine for just an instance if other teams could not just take away the one line Buffalo has. Imagine a 1a/1b line that would make other team actually game plan against the Sabres. He is getting legitimate game experience against the best other teams have on a nightly basis and he is holding up quite well. He is getting the on-the-job training (OJT) the other kids in the system are not. I like a lot of what I see in his game right now. I think he has a chance. Besides, unless GMTM pulls a 1a center out of his hat, he is kind of it for at least the next year. A lot will depend on how Grigs, Girgs, McEichel and Rheinhart develop over the next few years.

Probably the best evidence to date that the players are not in and never were in on the tank, regardless of the franchise.

That there are some anger issues..

I think folks are underselling his potential here. I see him as second line material, possibly even first. When I watch him play, he is ALWAYS nosing around the net, goes in to the corner and has vision on the ice. He is a nice compliment to Ennis and Moulson. And he is 19...

Fantastic ... Now we are free to root for a Sabres Carrion Loss on Monday.... Let's take this puppy down to the wire. It is really the only thing that has put any suspense/interest in this season at all. Once the clinch/clench/cleanse is over, the season is over.

You are not alone. I have tickets for the Carolina game. I am not going there to cheer on Carolina. I want my cake and I want to eat it too. If they give up a last minute goal to lose, that is probably the best case scenario for me. I would also accept getting down early and fighting their way nearly back. I am there to cheer Sabres goals. I want the experience to be a good and memorable one for my kids. If the Sabres do win, I will be standing and cheering.

Interesting and valid point. Next man up philosophy. One could argue that Larrson and Grigs did not do enough to unseat Mitchell and Flynn also. But I think your theory of Sabres evolution makes more sense. Goalies get better with reps/starts and so do players. Chemistry develops.

Now 2-0 Sharks..

Me too.. He just needs to be a good soldier for these next four games.

Nice to see a point man who can get shots through to the net. Haven't had there here for years.

Sabres will have to travel tonight and play again tomorrow and then play again on Monday. 3 games in four days is a critical stretch
