  1. I think Nylander lacks heart. Not so much courage. But it’s close.
  2. He has an agreement (has had the agreement for years now) to do whatever game he wants to. He goes on road trips to a select number of games on his own free will. His own desire. He is not forced to travel or work any games he doesn’t want to. Again, no games he doesn’t want to. He doesn’t hate to travel. He’s not forced to travel. I would completely agree with you if ALL he did were home games. That’s certainly not the case. At all. Granted it’s harder for him to travel. I give you that. But “hate” to travel is so not accurate. At least from my 3 degrees of separation from RJ, he likes going on road trips where the arenas are easy to get to and the broadcast booths are easy to get to and are comfortable.
  3. I don’t know if you are aware. Because it’s a serious affliction. One in which a friends GF had this. I hope you find this helpful. Sincerely. https://www.psychmechanics.com/2018/12/why-people-keep-repeating-same-thing.html?m=1
  4. Prediction ... no GM this summer does an offer sheet where the team being offer-sheeted doesn’t match and keep the player. Second prediction ... no player gets offer sheeted this summer. one of those is likely to be true. but I get it... every summer it’s nice to fantasize about offer sheets.
  5. I don’t know anyone who’s not pulling for his success. Like you said, he’s young, and will continue to develop over the next several years.
  6. The Sabres “might” have something here? How about, definitely have something here. Goofball.
  7. It is. But as with everything, most like to alter things to fit their definition. Analytics driven player acquisitions at a fair to low cost, to better a team. The basis of Moneyball/puck.
  8. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer team. Screw you Flyers.
  9. Did Mogilny hang out with Pete Rose years ago? Hmmmm ...
  10. That’s exactly why. He’ll play 95% of the time in Roch I bet.
  11. That doesn’t surprise me. Man I wish Bailey would have worked out. He could have been such a force as a 3rd liner if he got it all together and it clicked. Disappointing.
  12. https://www.foxnews.com/us/trump-medal-of-honor-army-staff-sergeant-iraq Congrats David! And Thank you for your service. ??
  13. Wife and I will be there. Looking forward to it on Saturday.
  14. If he was that’s great! Get out and enjoy the nice weather. I’m sure his phone was within inches. ? I still hope he takes his time and makes the right moves. No knee jerk reactionary piss poor acquisitions please.
  15. Thievery Corporation coming to Artpark in August. Anyone going?
  16. This team will look a lot different when the list needs to be submitted. Hopefully JB exposes the least “vital” pieces and we only lose a 3rd/4th liner like we lost Carrier. I bet almost half the “at risk” players today in June on the list won’t be on the list when the time arrives.
  17. I think this is good criteria. Judge and include / discard players based on the following only. Do a Sabrespace poll with this as the basis. Take feelings and opinion out of it. From .. http://www.hockeysfuture.com/whatmakesaprospect/ A player will be considered a prospect until he meets the following criteria: If a prospect is a skater (forward, defenseman) and has played in 65 NHL games or more before the completion of the season of his 24th birthday; or, if a goaltender has played in 45 NHL games before the completion of the season of his 24th birthday, that player will be considered graduated to the NHL. Conversely, if a player completes the season of his 24th birthday without passing those milestones, then that player will no longer be considered a prospect by Hockey’s Future, regardless of the player’s status with his NHL club. An NCAA player who signs his first contract at or above the age of 22 has three years to meet the above criteria (65/45), while those NCAA players that turn pro under the age of 22 will be subjected to the criteria above. European players who sign their first NHL contract at or above the age of 22 have three seasons from the time they sign that contract to meet the above criteria. Those European players below the age of 22 that have signed a NHL contract will be subjected to the criteria in section one. Section one is the meat of the criteria as it will govern the majority of players that vie for a NHL roster spot. Sections two and three are simply an acknowledgement that some prospects arrive on the scene a bit later than their peers, thus needing some time past their 24th birthday to develop into an NHL-caliber player. The graduated list on team pages will consist of players who are considered graduated to the NHL. A skater prospect may sit on the graduated list until he has played 130 games in the NHL. A goalieprospect may sit on the graduated list until he has played 90 games in the NHL. NOTE: These are general guidelines and should be followed the majority of the time but certain players may still be listed as prospects if circumstances warrant. Also, for players that are close to either the 65-game (skaters) or 45-game (goaltenders) benchmark but have also clearly "arrived" as NHL players, HF reserves the right to remove these players from consideration as prospects and instead consider these players graduated.
  18. That’s not what I meant .. haha
  19. All this back-and-forth… Thats why you take opinion out of it. And you go by the standard at which has been set. Not opinion. well I think this and I think that and this is what I feel and that’s what I feel. Take opinion out of it. Go by what the NHL has set fourth as what constitutes a rookie. Even if some fans disagree. Too bad IMO. maybe I’ll make this poll idea I said in a prior message if no one else does it.
  20. Ok, but that’s just opinion. How does Kris Baker define it? How does the NHL define it? take the guess work and opinion out of it, even if it’s disagreeable. ?‍♂️
  21. ^ that’s exactly the list this board should draw from. Just add this years draftees. Someone make a top 10 list. Poll style. Then everyone gets one vote who they think the top prospect is. They also say who they think should be on the next list. The prospect with the most mentions gets added to the next (#2 prospect) poll. Fans can only draw from the list from Kris Baker (and the just drafted ones). it goes on and on until we reach #20 in prospect depth. So 20 separate polls. Each new poll created has a growing list of the “prospect/winner” of the prior poll.
  22. So, there’s the NHL definition of a prospect. And then there’s the “this is my opinion of what a prospect is” definition. Ok then.... I guess that eliminates the chance for a group of fans to judge on the same level and rate our prospects from #1 to #20. It would be nice if there was a set in stone (no opinion) definition that everyone can base their rankings on. Oh wait, I think there is.
