Agreed. I had sex with Scarlett Johansson once. Well, not really. But I found her picture on the internet once and .... Kinda saying the the same thing, innit? đ

I don't know @That Aud Smell. It may be the same place with new owners that are pretty full of themselves. đ Edit: Google is just showing the one in NF as LaHacienda.

I should have been more specific about my LaHacienda comment as its such a generic name. I was referring to the one on Pine Ave. in the Falls. Not even sure its still open. That whole section of town has hit the skids.

Connor McDavid's next team...

KA just has to be careful not to block his pathway to Buffalo by having a more seasoned veteran on the roster. /s -
What is Olofsson's role in the 2023/24 Sabres?
JustOneParade replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
Hell, I can remember when I started visiting this board there were discussions about Girgs being on the LW with young Eichel. Now some are POâd he was signed for a 4th line role. As you say, nice to see. VERY nice. -
Great points @Taro T. I was bored one night last week and watched the extended highlights of the Detroit game, curious about the 6 goals Levi gave up. What you describe was how a couple of the goals played out. Separately, that game represents the flip side of the small sample size argument re: Levi. Four of the goals he had no chance on. A PP goal where a Wing was left unattended at the back post. A redirect on the PP. The âdoink goalâ that went off Powerâs hip. Then Booshâs perfect outlet pass to a Wing streaking into the slot then making a pass to an unattended (again) Wing at the post for a tap in. My point being those 4 goals in his 7 games inflates his GA average by over 0.5 per game.

Great call on LaHacienda. When I was growing up itâs pizza was the best around and it wasnât particularly close.

Sammyâs was great back when I was in high school and college (not telling how many decades ago that wasđ). Theyâve ***** the bed long since.

Matthew Savoie highlights, with guest star Zach Benson
JustOneParade replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
Iâm wondering if, when heâs ready, we might see Benson on Cozenâs wing with Quinn. That line would be a b*tch to play against and can put up some points too. (JJP and Kulich are wingers together with a distributor in the middle). -
@JoeSchmoe In the Falls give Buzzyâs a try. Itâs shortly after Pine avenue turns into NF Boulevard. Also try Gagsters in the Market area on Pine Avenue. One caveat though. Both used to ALWAYS be really good but on a couple visits in recent years each has âlaid an eggâ one time. That never used to happen.

GDT: Sabres Prospect Camp: 3v3 Tournament, Sabres.com, July 6, 2023
JustOneParade replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
Whether its 75% that won't make it or the 50% that @LGR4GMsuggests, that number can now be applied to 15 or so legitimate prospects vs. maybe a half dozen in years past. That's what is particularly encouraging for the future. -

There is some impressive young talent in this organization. And yes, I fully understand the probabilities of guys becoming NHL players who were selected across the various rounds. But I'm wondering if this scouting/analytics crew hasn't busted the curve in more than a few places. Particularly taking advantage of the lack of exposure for our Russian prospects during COVID. -
According to Pierre Lebrun, Sabres have interest in Brett Pesce.

15 team (~ half the league) no-trade list? Think there's a pretty good chance the Sabres are on it? He'd have to agree to waive. I still think he re-ups with Carolina tho. -

Negotiating tactic on the part of the Canes? Take our offer or we're trading you to the Sabres? (Granted, not as impactful as it would have been a couple years ago). -
Thought I'd throw this in here. Lost interest in baseball many years ago (Giants fan since I was a litlle kid into adulthood). Tried to watch a Yankee/Red Sox game a few years back and made it through 1/2 inning. Painfully boring. Went to Fenway last night only because I find games are more tolerable at the ballpark. Wasn't even aware of the new clock rules until I saw them at the park. The improved pace of play was extremely noticeable. Left after the fourth inning because of incoming rain - just under one hour from first pitch. MLB absolutely got that one right.

A Top 4 Defenseman is Adams Top Priority per Lebrun
JustOneParade replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
I think KA has done a good job overall. But sometimes I think (fear) he sees it more important to get an average Dman at below average value than getting a legitimate top-4 Dman at slightly above value cost. Getting that roster hole filled is so critical for the next few years that I wouldn't worry about a slight overpay to fill it. -
Goaltending will be fine: Devon Levi edition
JustOneParade replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
There was an article in The Athletic recently about the goalie market, team needs, etc. Below is an excerpt that caught my attention because I have believed since the past season this applies to the Sabres' situation. There are big names that will be available on the trade market and some high-leverage decisions that could make or break contendersâ playoff chances next season. Surrounding those big storylines is the question of whether teamsâ game theory for addressing goaltending needs could evolve with the way Vegas won its Cup, which has shined a spotlight on how much a teamâs defensive play can influence a goalieâs success or failure. -

Yikes! VO on Carolina would be the hockey version of that old kids game "Which one of these is not like the others?" RBA would never buy into VO on his roster, IMHO. -
Report: Teams are "poking around the Sabres" about Victor Olofsson

Even better if there are TWO dumb GMâs interested. đ -
Our #1 and #2 centers compared to a wingerâs contract. Nice!

Damn filters. Starts with a V and rhymes with Regina. (A Sienfeld episode, no?)

Sabres Sign Defenseman Nikita Novikov to 3 Year ELC

If I remember correctly, wasn't that what was said about Mule at the same stage? So there's hope. Can these be traits be enhanced by dedicated training? -

Interesting article in The Athletic this morning. Tim Graham interviewed Jamie Obletz, president of DN. Ron Raccuia, COO of the Bills, did not participate in the article. Short version ... the former was lamenting the emotional loss of the Bills stadium contract and the financial loss to the community because of all the dollars DN injected directly and indirectly. Pro tip for Mr. Obletz. Being a local company should have been a huge competitive advantage. But if your product and/or service is sub-standard, none of that other stuff matters. I've read plenty here and elsewhere from dissatisfied customers. And I've experienced it first hand in a very limited number of 'opportunities' over the years. Obletz also mentioned that DN planned to engage local restaurants in the concession line-up at the new Bills Stadium. How many years from now is that? Why did it wait? DN has numerous concession contracts throughout the US. Mr. Obletz can allow himself one more day to 'grieve' but on Monday morning he should be pulling his staff together to figure out what went wrong with the Bills deal and how to make sure it doesn't happen elsewhere. I'm curious about something else and thus a question for ST holders of either the Bills or Sabres. Has Delaware North ever reached out to you directly for feedback about its product and services? Or only tangentially via the teams?
