All eyes now turn to Group B at 8pm where Russia face Denmark and Finland take on Belgium. If the Belgians win then any win is enough for Scotland on Tuesday. Russia are on a goal difference of -2 so while a draw would leave them on four points, Scotland would pip them on goal difference with any kind of win as ours would be, at worst, -1. Exciting stuff.

I don't think you're in the minority. I think that if we are hitting the rest button and going for picks and prospects for Jack/Sam/Risto then you are spot on. He was quick to bench vets that didn't pull their weight and seems to hold people accountable, unlike RK who said he holds people accountable then clearly didn't. (Except Skinner - who seemed to bear the brunt of the blame for everything from him).

Couldn't it be a mixture? Those coaches and/or GMs and/or players at that point in history were not good enough? I think the reasons for underperformance are more nuanced than are discussed. Counterpoint though, the direction of the franchise must, surely, be guided by the owners who are the common denominator in all this. And, perhaps, we have seen in remarks from KA that the whole culture must change and this season we could see evidence when he has "his" guys in place.
