  1. Two NCAA schools and two dismissals. This ends his college hockey career. Not sure he gets a degree from the college, 23, not drafted. He has some serious thinking to do.
  2. In other news the Beatles Landed in NYC today to a throng of adoring fans.
  3. Those are nice compliments from the Ranger fan base.
  4. Whoever looks best in practice is the starter. That is what DG should be saying. If it is Levi. then let the kid play.
  5. We all have an "Uncle Tim" it seems. Fortunately, I had 3 other Uncles that were positive no matter what. All four are gone, and none if them got to see a Cup or a Super Bowl unfortunately.
  6. So you agree with me on picking whoever is showing the most in practice. Whether Levi beats Florida or not, I will not be using it as a measure of his character or fortitude. There are lots of better indicators of his character that we already have insight to. Incidentally, Florida traded him because they already have two good goaltenders, and one is very young, and they are trying to win right now. Not because they quickly decided they didn't like him anymore. Buffalo may soon be in a similar situation and could trade a top prospect to get better at another position.
  7. I think he should play against Florida if Granato says he gives us the best chance to win . The whole idea of playing him against the team that drafted him is a lot of unfounded hype. He was a 7th round draft pick in 2020. He was traded to Buffalo in July 2021. The Sabres are the team that worked with him through his developmental time in the NCAA. He did not really get very integrated into the program in Florida, and they did not have much of anything invested in him either. The fact that we play Florida next, and they drafted him, is a coincidence. That said, Kulich and Levi for Reinhart could be a franchise changing trade for this team.
  8. Our third line - We have a 40 assist/50 point winger on the 3rd line that can sub into the top 6. We also have a 26 goal scoring winger on the 3rd line. The majority of the folks here want to trade one or both of them. Neither are physical two way players but how many teams have this? Forward Prospects are Savioe, Kulich, Östlund, Rosen, Rousek, and others - right now we are rich.
  9. My luke-warm take(s): 1. We don't know how ready Levi is for NHL play. We should not be anointing him the savior after one emotion packed game. This league has a way of catching up. We need to see him over several months of work, practice, games, travel and more games. 2. We know he is a great prospect and he brings a level of skill, maturity, and preparedness that defies his age. So learning what he can do right now will help us plan for next season. 3. Playing him, even though we are in a playoff race, is fine in this case. None the other 3 goalies have done enough to claim the #1 spot. Use the practices to see who is playing the best and then start that player against Florida.
  10. The obvious answer is Levi vs Florida.
  11. He is questioning the pace of the rebuild. Not whether Adams is sticking to his plan. Which is a legitimate talking point since they are so close and so prospect rich.
  12. Welcome. This team is just starting to form. They are in the early stages of what might be a great run in future years. A very young and talented group of players.
  13. Way too many chances to breakout and then they turn it over with poor passes or weak board play. The forwards are just as guilty as the defense for this. There are forwards on just about every line that struggle in our zone. Face offs matter and they need to keep working on it. D and O zone face offs are very important.
  14. Q. Are you good? A. Yes. “oh, I like that answer!”
  15. I have never been a big fan but have to admit his game has really improved under DG. Not sure his current level of play is only “average” for a third liner that can play center and wing and get some PP time. He is a 50 point player this year and he played most of the season with Olofsson and Jost, not with Tuch and Skinner. So he is a good 3rd line player that can chip in as a top 6 if injuries occur. I’m too lazy to compare him to every teams 3rd line forwards but I would suspect he is above average in that role. I see him on the team next year but with Savioe, Kulich, and maybe some others emerging, he may be gone after that.
  16. UPL kept us in the game after a terrible first period. He is no Levi but he is still young. I want all our kids to be supported. He stopped 39 of 42. Many were difficult and from high danger areas. Tuch was the difference. He took control of the game tonight and really stepped up.
  17. Terrible. 3 straight turnovers. Starting with Krebs.
