Once again, the 5v5 numbers mean nothing. Wins/loses, it's all that matters -

And there's the dagger. Some of you were trying to use goal differential, to what exactly? The only thing that accounts is wins/loses. The record, the points, speak for themselves. Denial is the first stage, it's been 13 seasons now, it's safe to get past denial and start the road to acceptance. -

You shouldn't have to rely on special teams to win more games than they have. Yes it is a factor, but the win/lose record is an indicator of a much larger issue than merely special teams. -

I disagree with this. They are the mirror of who is leading them, a development coach. The team isn't playing to win, they're playing to develop. This is just fact. -

Fire? Where, on the grill during vacation? -
It is why I posted with the full disclaimer, "as of now". I also stated this could change, but until it does, if it does, my opinion stands for myself.

Let us break this down 1 question at a time. Can KA spend to the cap? With the way he throws money at inconsistently producing players, ys, he appears to have no problem spending to the cap. As of now, foolish spending, but he's like a drunken sailor in any red district, no problem spending. What's his time line for contending? At this rate PA, for fans our age.... And finally, Casey not fitting the time line? I believe this to be the wrong question. We should be asking if Casey rumors are due to him producing to much, thereby angering the Adams and Granato, incurring their rath?

As of now the Thompson, Cozens, Power contracts look like disasters for the future. That can always change given their ages of course. But as it stands right now, in this moment, the Buffalo Sabres are just straight up a farm team for the rest of the league. I mean, even their coach is a "development specialist", they've put 0 effort in to special teams coach's (pk and pp) and honestly they appear to lack any motivation what so ever to seriously bring a winning product to the Buffalo market. Just my view of the situation given the past 13 seasons is all.

Well, something has to give here. They can't keep rolling with this current roster, it's not working. So Mr. Adams, get busy addressing the situation, the time has come. S h I t, or get off the pot

What Sabres team down through history have you liked less??
Scottysabres replied to PASabreFan's topic in The Aud Club
The 87-88 team. I disliked it more than these current teams. The season after Perreault retired they were a lost group wandering in the wilderness. Traded Barraso, Turgeon's rookie campaign was meh. Ya, did not like that team, mainly because my childhood hero, Perreault, was gone. That day he hung them up still hurts to this day for me. -
Opinions Wanted: Controversy in a mens hockey league
Scottysabres replied to Quint's topic in The Aud Club
I agree. Even in the mid 80's when I was a teenager, a few girls joined us at Sabreland for games, never an issue. They were never as good as me, and I'd they were.......I'll never admit to it, because......ego 😜 But ya man, was never an issue. If people are mocking due to gender, that's bull *****. Play the game, it's all for fun in rec leagues. -
Have You Missed Seeing Them Play During This Break? Be Honest!
Scottysabres replied to bob_sauve28's topic in The Aud Club
I do miss Sabres hockey. Yes. But even though I still follow them, I don't the way I used to. Other teams interest me more, just being honest. -
Samuelsson out for the remainder of the Season
Scottysabres replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Well, if any season is a good one to fix a body ailment, this one is one of the 13 to get it done I guess. Heal up Muel, come back ready to roll next season. -

Freaking disgusting. I got nothin'. I despise anyone, man or woman, who sexually prey upon others. -
The thread title sounds like analytics of their missing the net issues. 🤣

They need receivers that will catch clutch passes. I counted 3 dropped passes, 2 of which were sure touchdowns (Cook, diggs) the other put them in position to score. That's a minimum of 17 to 24 potential points off the board in that divisional game. Sadly it can't be taken back, what happened is what happened, but clearly they need speed on the outside with sure hands. Defensively, get a strength and conditioning coach for Pete's sake, the injuries every season deplete their defensive backfield, exposing them. Imho.
-
To bad about Quinn, he's a good one. Was hoping to see him finish the season strong then come back next year even better. These injuries I'm sure are frustrating to him. Heal up young man, your needed back in the trenches.

I think you should get that man cave you dream about after the 10k ploughing and the wife has your name enshrined a local steakhouse, kind of like that scene from The Great Outdoors, "The Ole 96'er" 🤣
