I don't see it happening. -
Will KA give up on the fallacy of veterans that "know how to win"?!

Will KA just give up, opening the GM position to be filled by a competent, experienced available GM candidate? -
Breaking: Hoppe says to expect firings, trades

Oh my comment wasn't on the money aspect. It was on the "team needs to show stability in coaching and management dept" aspect. After all, that was the big bitch by many, not a stable environment. -

Then he can accept the double deal and send me the double part, since he doesn't need it and I recommended him 😉 -

I don't believe for 1 second it's happening. His extension kicks in for what? 2 more years? Ya, I've prepared myself for 2 more years of this garbage. -

I enjoyed this game. It was nice to see hockey skill displayed. I especially liked the clean, crisp passing and board body work by Dallas. -

That was a great goal actually. -
I was highly optimistic on the team in general, although, the goaltending and lack of scoring from the blue line group was a concern. Like many, I expected the playoffs as well, but I won't turn a blind eye to the vast improvement in those areas I mentioned above. My resolve is in my thread title. I chose it to highlight that.

.For as much as an overwhelming majority of the fan base want change, outside of maybe some asst. coaches, the roster is where that change will occur. There are real time improvements that have been made, and to not acknowledge them while our frustration grows just doesn't feel right. 1. Goaltending.......inside organizational growth has improved this position. No need to get in to the particulars, we all watch it. 2. Defensive corps.......improved, the 2nd half of season gaa says it all, and while it's a complete effort, the defense has improved. 3. Forward ranks........we all know the skill talent is there, need on ice leadership towards what some call grit, others call heart. For myself, it's called individual accountability from each player to dig down game after game to apply a full 60 min. effort. Leadership on the roster is critical for this in my opinion ad Donny can't throw on a jersey and join the in game action. Sure the coach can do some, make adjustments, hold players accountable, but it's the players that need to self police their own play imo. So, from my view, we stay the course, continue to build the maturity of the roster, add those character leadership players in the off season and beyond. I'm very optimistic about this current teams future. I see an upward mobility in the standings in our immediate future. "Steady as she goes, stay the course".'

Will Buffalo be a good place to see the total eclipse of the sun?
Scottysabres replied to PASabreFan's topic in The Aud Club
Did my 3rd of my 4 day 7pm to 7am shift last night. Needless to say, I wasn't coherent when my wife and daughter decided I should be up at 3pm for what I now call, the instant storm cloud event. They did manage to stave off capital punishment by at least having a freshly brewed cup of Joe at the ready. I was prepared to hand down lengthy sentences, my wife knows me to well...... 🤣 -
Expected result. Nothing surprising here. I didn't even watch the last 2 games, 5he writing has been on the wall for a good long while now. We all know Adams and Granato will be back next season. And while I realize that doesn't sit well with many fans I am very curious as to what Adams thoughts are with regards to this team's expectations going forward. I'll be around all spring and summer occasionally chiming in with some smart-assary. Try and have a good off season ya'll. Enjoy the summer Temps, do some out door recreation. It's another long off season.

The Bills will be in the playoffs again next season, they will be SB contenders. I was wrong about Allen, and I happily eat that crow from my mid season opinion that he doesn't have what it takes. He does, and he showed it from that week 12 record on to the kc playoff game. Guys a straight out warrior. Like I said, more than happy to be wrong on that. As for Diggs, spoke my piece up thread. Addressing the purge of cap this off season? We all knew it was coming. They maintained a stable of high value players for 4 seasons to try and push through and get it done. They fell just short, time to revamp, reload, restructure to youth and make another go at it. I have no fears of this team falling or dipping in performance. Beane has proven he can put a contending product on the field. Go Bills!!!

There is no wondering. He stood out in the field alone after that first kc elimination, he then dropped a sure fire 2 score go ahead late in the 4th this last kc elimination game. Diggs wasn't it, it is what it is
-
You just know Beane, McD and Josh sat down and talked. The results of the past 4 seasons speak for themselves, good, but not good enough. Need fresh horses for Josh, while his prime is still going. Eat the season if necessary, remain high end competitive in the process. I see the playoffs next season, you can bet as long as Josh is in these prime years, they do to.
-
Agree. That dropped pass in the 4th Qtr in the KC playoff game this year was it for me. He may explode in a fresh young system, i could care less, because he wasn't exploding here. Eat the dead cap, move on to improve.

Some players have definitely taken a step back. Those players are expected to be impact players. This roster, as constructed now, will continue to struggle unless they find consistency in their play. That is on top of this threads alleged intention, skill vs grit? I'm guessing. Case in point, Dylan Cozens. He wasn't signed to that 7 mil long term contract to be a 3rd line player. Yet, on almost any playoff contention team, his play would warrant such a title/roster position. And not to single Cozens out, another lack luster season inconsistent player is our supposed sniper, Mr. 1000'th game himself, Jeff Skinner. 9 mil a season and his disappearing act throughout the season is on display. Yes there's more to this rosters woes than just scoring, but the stats tell the story for sure. No 30 goal scorers, only 4 over 20. You won't get far with that production.
