Tough game, 2nd of a back to back, at home where it's a no show for the Sabres more often than not, last night being one of the exceptions, not the rule. Whether or not the playoffs are realistic I do not believe sways this group of players at this point as past performance inconsistencies have shown. That said, it's always nice to stick a fork in the Leafs for a game, so here's to hoping. Go Sabres!

Granato will see the end of the season. Next season is an interesting off season conversation as we all hope the coming new season will return our Sabres to the post season, which of course would entitle Granato, if he is still the coach, a weekend at the Four Seasons.

Unfortunate as this statement is, currently it is 100% correct. There can longer be those who deny the data available while attempting to counter it with any validity. The Buffalo Sabres are, for intents and purposes, an AHL team. Various reasoning as to why this has come to pass, but the one constant.......inexperienced GM and Coaching staff. That, my friends, is undeniable, in my most humbled opinion.

Do I think they'll make the playoffs next season? As of right now, today, with the known existing roster and pipeline talent, no. Do I believe they'll make the playoffs next season? Teams have these blow out losses from time to time. I'm not overly concerned about it. After all, we've known for a good portion of this season what this team was. I guess the focus I have, or at least the question I'd like answered is when does this actually end? Over dozen years and counting, really quite amazing it appears to have no end in sight as of now.
