So, when do our beloved Sabres get their Angels? lol I love the thought, but, I'm not optimistic. lol

From the moment that commercial came out, I was a boob man. God, to go back and live in those days.

I know. But I cannot delude my memories unfortunately. Oh how I long for the Frenxh Connection, the Molginy/ Lalalalalafontaine, the Hasek, the Drury/Briere days. But nothing to date has surpassed Gil. I long for a player, nay, a leader like that.

I don't completely disagree. I will say this, you play the game in the era your dealt. And Gretzky played his like no other, including Ovi.

Once again, the team overall makes the difference.

That is just the beginning. I think we may, and I stress may, put some in on the Devils, but after that, I don't see it. This team is that bad. Really quite an accomplishment, all those assets in draft over those low years, and it culminates in to this, after trading so many of those assets away, not developing them, throwing them right in to the fire long before they were mature, long before they were ready. Not setting the culture, not setting up the leadership to show the expectations of hey, you either do this, or your gone. That is all on the owner, one Terry Pegula. I was not quite with PA when he first brought forward his words on Terry. And the Pegula's have done great things with the Bills, with downtown. But, this is NOT acceptable. Period, end of conversation when it comes to Terry. If you cannot bring the "CULTURE" to where we, the fans, the players, and hell, even you yourself Terry, to where it needs to be, then let it go. Let go of the ownership. Because the fans in this community, WE DESERVE SO MUCH BETTER!!!! TERRY PEGULA, EITHER ***** OR GET OFF THE POT! You've had 10 years, WTF man?

Actually, yes, they will. They already did actually. One Gilbert. He was better than Ovi for his time, way better. It's always a combination of the player, and the cast around him, Ovi has been much more fortunate than others to have a great supporting cast for many years, Gilbert did for 7 years. There are real tangibles that make the difference. Ovi is a pure goal scorer, but, he'll never be a Gretzky.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Sabres fan base, may I direct your attention to the most losses in a row in a season, may I direct your attention to the lowest goal total, the lowest wins and the most inept run organizations in NHL history records. We are now approaching that territory. There is a very likely chance our beloved Buffalo Sabres will break records this season, even in the midst of a pandemic, that will not be overcome in your lifetimes. Ladies and gentlemen of the Sabres faithful, I give you, your 2020/2021 Buffalo Sabres, the brain trust of one Terry Pegula, owner of the franchise. Yes, it is finger pointing, yes, it is that bad, and yes, it does feel like a never ending nightmare on elm street movie.

Don't be so insecure, you know, not even deep down, that the Amerks would finish dead last ;} Your instincts are beyond reproach good sir 🙂

We are in that charted territory now. Apparently with the Buffalo Sabres you can pretty much feel secure until the wheels not only fall off, but also get put on the new car 🙂

Oh man, I never thought to look on line, covet what I was taught by my Aunt and Uncle who when I was in my early teens in the early 80's were already in their early 70's. Man, could Uncle Bill and Aunt Pearl cook rabbit, cook just about anything. He was a farmer, horses and all. I really did experience a great childhood, from WW2 vet's, to those old schoolers, I so wish the youth of today would have experienced that, it would be such an eye opener on survival.

High School buddy of mine had a trip out west a number of years ago, picked up a stray lab on I-80 on the way back, she was probably 5 or 6 by then. He brought her here to WNY and man, did that black lab hunt rabbits, and bring them back with soft jaws. Him and I would grill'em up for her. What a dog, just a phenom when it came to rabbits. She passed at 14 last year, cancer, he named her Nebraska because he found her just outside of North Platte.

Unreal, just unreal. I try to like Dahlin, I really do. I didn't like the pick then, and I sure as hell am finding it hard to like the player now, even if he is only 20 yrs old. So many opportunities for this team to get better via drafting and "DEVELOPING", so many squandered assets, so many NHL careers affected. I'm sorry, but under Terry Pegula's ownership, and I love the family for what they are doing, this franchise will not succeed unless he steps aside and allows an experienced franchise building President of Hockey Operations do their job. I hope he fully understands this by now.
