He's had his share of fubars, but, its the entire roster, not just him. To be honest, I've never seen such an organizational wide failure like this. I stand in awe of it all.
-
Maybe he should find a way to take the puck away from the opposing team then, or maintain possession. Things like that would reduce that negative number, just sayin.......

I keep thinking about the end of season and the subsequent analysis league wide of what happened here in Buffalo. I don't know what the future holds, but the fall out from a historical event like this has to have deep ramifications on the organization across the board. This is most definitely a brand killer, I have 0 doubt about that.

Adams heard screaming behind the bench memes: "Staal, you suck, sit down." "Hallsy, no sleeping on the bench, you do enough of that on the ice!" ""Dammit Risto, if he's in front of the net, rip his arm off and beat him with it!" "Hey, you, ya you with the goalie pads on, whatever your name is,, stop acting like your out there alone, I already know you are, I'm in this hell with you, so suck it up buttercup!" "Dahlin, WTF was that?" The f'n water bottle is faster 5han you kid!" "Come on girls, do you have no heart, no pride!" -
I focus solely on Dahlin for a moment. He attempted to first move towards the puck, then, realizing Goodreau was going to beat him to it did a stick swing at it and Goodreau made a nice move to get on Dahlin's backside with forward momentum while Dahlin was still moving lateral. The fact Dahlin did not, I repeat, did not commit to his initial move at puck possession is the primary reason the play developed beyond a tipped pass from Hall. That is not coaching, that is player instinct. The hesitation to commit was a bad hockey decision. As for Hall, yea, he got a dose of what Eichel deals with game in and game out, and it is exactly what was mentioned, no movement from the other players on the ice. The lack of any supporting play, yea, that appears to be a coaching situation. You should be here, you here, and so on. In my opinion, every team in the league knows this, hence the high pressure consistency every game against Sabres players. Good catch. But Hall did have options. So although the play fully unfolds in to an abusive explosion on Dahlin, the catalyst for it is on Hall. Both players, 1st over all picks, showed complete low hockey IQ on the play. The real question I have, is this career systemic?

I watch for the humor in it all. There's a ton of Rodney Dangerfield material game after game 😄 -

I don't disagree that it's a roster wide failure we are witnessing. -

Come on man, that move just left Dahlin standing there, like the pylon he is most nights. I'll give the kid kudos for his offensive upside, but he's way below average defensively, and I mean way below. Even if he merited the 1st over all selection, he needed AHL duty, he's not even an NHL caliber #7 at this point. -

he gave the puck over, it was Dahlin getting undressed that gave them the goal. -

Good Article on Sabres Dysfunction from 538

I don't believe the bolded is exactly how it all went down. If you remember, Regier was asked what it would take to compete for the Cup again, his response, "Suffering". And he isn't completely wrong. Weave's post is correct, it is a snowball effect, the problem got bigger because they gutted the leadership, the mentors that were vested in logo on their chest. Pominville, Vanek, Gaustad, Miller immediately come to mind. I believe Pegula listened to his advisors. What I now call "The Pittsburgh Bunch". His advisors, Sawyer, Black and the coach, Bylsma, were Pittsburgh products, same with Botterill. Pegula didn't use common sense, he used connections from his East Resources Pennsylvania days, that, was the catalyst to the past 8 yrs, in my humbled opinion. But, the fans, we may have cheered to go for the McDavid/Eichel sweepstakes, but we weren't the triggering mechanism, that was on Terry Pegula. As the owner, he sets the expectations of the organization as a whole. His goal may have been Stanley Cups, but his plan and it's implementation were 180 degrees the exact opposite. -

So, in essence, ever since the Pegula's bought the team, it has sucked and continuously sunk to new suckage lows, year, after year, after year, and in every category imaginable. Free Agency Acquistions, suckage. Drafting, suckage. Development, suckage. It's been a suck fest in Buffalo for 8 + years, and if you've felt left out, don't. If you feel you personally weren't experiencing "The Great Buffalo Suck-A-Thon" in your life in that time, rest assured, if you watched a Sabres game, you've been drained. -
They signed a depth DE and restructured White's contract to free up cap space. Somethings coming, Beane going all in for a Bowl run it looks like.

Thats what Max was, a golden doodle, only, with straight hair. My wife's business partner has his sister, hair as curly as all get up. Interestingly, my golden, Colorado, we hot up this morning and he went over and sniffed Max's bowl, then howled at me. I drew more tears as I knew he finally realizes Max is gone. They met when they were 5, have been peas & carrots since. When we got together, the wife had a black lab, and Max. I had Colorado. Buddy passed this past July. Now Max. Colorado is all alone now, and you can tell he knows Max is gone. More tears in my eyes this morning as I consoled him before I had to go to work. It's just emotionally tough, ya know.

Bills should be moving up, 16 with Arizona, 20 with Chicago, or, if Harris is still there, definitely 25 with Jacksonville. They should use future picks, not current, to get it done. They'll need an impact RB, and Harris is all that. They'll also need 30 to get a CB that can put Wallace in a nickel or dime setting.

Yea, I've lost a few. The red golden in the photo I posted, thats Colorado, a gift, from my mom and dad, they have his mother. It will be a bad day for me when his time comes, he's been my wing man since he was born, he'll be 10 at the end of April.

Lost the blonde one today. Just over 10 yes old, Max was his name. Real close with the daughters. No known reason, blood testing shows nothing, had seizures around 1pm, gone by 2:30pm. Raced to the animal hospital but it was meant to be i guess. Sad day.
