Well, we're not out of the woods yet, this XL is proving to be a tough nut to crack. I'm not sending you a replica, they are cheesy. The Adidas ones in XL before Xmas may not happen. But I have some more calls to make today, I'm going to remain optimistic, even my son in law is stumped, and that kid and my daughter are true fanatics. He took her to some Rochester games last year and got pics of them with Quinn, Peterka and so on, for her Xmas gift, he took those photos, and went down to Dave & Adam's and got both of them to write "Happy Birthday Alyssa" and their signatures on the photos and on the Skinner goathead jersey He got her. He's constantly wheeling and dealing in gear. Up in my closet, I have several items that are just amazing He got me. That Perreault jersey, signed by Martin, Robert and Perreault is just a straight out treasure for me. So if an XL cam be had, he's a blood hound, he'll find it.

Ok, so here is where we're at, Reverse Retro XL's are not to be found, players or blanks, however my son in law is making some calls this AM on an XL reverse retro blank, Sorrentino's on Sheridan has the stitch on kits. If I can get the blank, I'll have Sorrentino's get it in order. I'll keep ya posted.

My son in law is heavily involved in Buffalo Sports gear/memorabilia, if it's available, I'll get it, send it fedex/ups, so it arrives in time to be under the tree. No worries on payment, Buffalo takes care of its own. If I get it, I'll DM ya.

Reverse retro Thompson Jersey? I can stop by the Sabres Store, if anyone knows if the jersey would be there

Just pummel the Jets, take it 1 game at a time. Go Bills! That is all.

I caught that. I was actually tunnel visioned on mitts as he half coasted and instead of charging from behind to try and hinder the shot, he just leaned forward and reached his stick out, which did nothing. I'm with ya, I've seen enough as well. If we're going to build a 3rd line that works, they have to go. -

Come on boys!!! Bring home the dub. -
🤣 They have been all over the place with this one, I admit. Damn confusing.

I stand corrected, he hadn't fully tucked it in. Good eye juju
-
This is actually incorrect in this situation. The moment his arm, above the wrist, touched the ground out of bounds, he was down. He had possession when that happened. It's akin to "stepping out of bounds". Think of it this way, his feet went out of bounds before his body touched the ground, that is an immediate whistle and end of play. I.E. A player foot steps out of bounds a split second before the ball is fumbled. It's a dead ball before the fumble. There are contradicting calls within these rule sections.
-
If you think it wasn't a catch based on the bobbling of the ball after ground contact, watch the video closely, look specifically at which of his body parts touch the ground first, out of bounds mind you, after his feet established a legal catch inbounds. Then, go read the section of the rules on "Down by contact", out of bounds. You'll be mad when you see the contradictions between that rule and the overturned call.

Here is the rule, with the notes, as prescribed in and currently enforced by the NFL as of this date.... ARTICLE 3. COMPLETED OR INTERCEPTED PASS A player who makes a catch may advance the ball. A forward pass is complete (by the offense) or intercepted (by the defense) in the field of play, at the sideline, or in the end zone if a player, who is inbounds: (A) secures control of the ball in his hands or arms prior to the ball touching the ground; and (B) touches the ground inbounds with both feet or with any part of his body other than his hands; and (C) after (a) and (b) have been fulfilled, performs any act common to the game (e.g., tuck the ball away, extend it forward, take an additional step, turn upfield, or avoid or ward off an opponent), or he maintains control of the ball long enough to do so. Notes: (1) Movement of the ball does not automatically result in loss of control. (2) If a player, who satisfied (a) and (b), but has not satisfied (c), contacts the ground and loses control of the ball, it is an incomplete pass if the ball hits the ground before he regains control, or if he regains control out of bounds. (3) A receiver is considered a player in a defenseless posture (See Rule 12, Section 2, Article 9) throughout the entire process of the catch and until the player is capable of avoiding or warding off the impending contact of an opponent. (4) If a pass is caught simultaneously by two eligible opponents, and both players retain it, the ball belongs to the passers. It is not a simultaneous catch if a player gains control first and an opponent subsequently gains joint control. If the ball is muffed after simultaneous touching by two such players, all the players of the passing team become eligible to catch the loose ball. (5) If a player, who is in possession of the ball, is held up and carried out of bounds by an opponent before both feet or any part of his body other than his hands touches the ground inbounds, it is a completed or intercepted pass. It is not necessary for the player to maintain control of the ball when he lands out of bounds.

Advanced Stats Say Goaltending the Issue, Not Defense
Scottysabres replied to JoeSchmoe's topic in The Aud Club
I wonder, is that due to poor bounces, poor decisions on ice I.E. loosing the puck due to errant passes/possession, or getting caught to far up ice. Not taking the body in the slot or net front. Or if it's a coached strategy situation. I.E. Granato and staff encouraging d men to pinch the opponents blue line. Or telling the players to pressure the opponent along the perimeter in our D zone, leaving the slot/net front exposed. -
The notes under the NFL rules is pretty clear it's considered incomplete pass/interception. It's under Rule 8, Section 1, Article 3 Completed or intercepted passes. Note 2: If a player, who satisfied (a) and (b), but has not satisfied (c), contacts the ground and loses control of the ball, it is an incomplete pass if the ball hits the ground before he regains control, or if he regains control out of bounds. I suspect that is what they made the call from the sky box with upon review. Like yourself, I don't agree with it.

Dallas offense isn't on the same tier as Buffalo, defense Buffalo looks better to.

When this team decides to attack the net, they are good, scary good. Great team play tonight. If Granato told them to commit to the program, they heard him. Much much better play so far. -
Are The Sabres A Dark Horse Contender for Jakob Chychrun?
Scottysabres replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
If he doesn't want to be a part of creating a contender, his compete level isn't a fit for the Sabres. -
