  1. There ya go folks. I'm told that 3rd pick will be slotted in to the 2nd defensive pairing, until it actually gets used on draft day for a Josh Bloom type player. Adam's successfully picked up a depth D and a 3/4 d pairing cardboard cut out stand in. Without spending high end assets in prpospects or picks. I'd say he's been quite successful.
  2. It's laughable at this point, at least from a fans perspective. Maybe Kyven has some magic hockey pixie dust that he plans on sprinkling on the ground where a 3/4 defenseman will sprout out of the ground like a bean stalk, because looking at the pipeline, it's pretty bare.
  3. At this point, it doesn't surprise me. Adam's is building near completely from within. My only question as a fan is this, where does he believe he's going to improve the defense in the near term given the defenseman prospect cupboard is bare?
  4. Do we actually know what the injury is? Did Kyven slip and tell Dahls he's not picking up any help this deadline?
  5. At the House
  6. I hear ya though. Bit dam it, I need my straws to grasp at, we're so close the dam dance lol
  7. Ah ha! Got ya! So Mr. Thorny, you thought you'd get away with it did ya. By your own admittance you declare the window open, but virtue of your suggesting all the Sabres have to do is push their way through. Ladies and gentlemen and them/they, I submit the defendants own words as evidence. 😀
  8. We need to trade for players with strong home game numbers!
  9. Well, from where I'm sitting, if anyone did stock up on TP, call me....I have 3 girls in the house, it's looking like a long journey to the upstairs bathroom.....
  10. Sounds to me like the goalies aren't motivated at home?
  11. They are motivated on the road, not at home. That's on the coach.
  12. This is true. But......it was fun to dream....
  13. Or Crouse, don't forget Crouse......👍
  14. No trades yet this morning? Slackers! Yesterday they started in the AM.
  15. Agreed completely. It was a time of learning to be sure. Not a conversation to be drawn out in this thread, but it does my soul good to see other citizens such as yourself LG who recognize and take the time to analyze the history, the lessons taught in those moments, if learned, are valued assets to the future.
  16. Can he play net?
  17. The Battle of Leyte Gulf was my command classes MCF scenario. We spent 2 months studying every detail for the MCF training event. There were many aspects of the actual historical event that were poor decisions by Halsey at the tactical level. There were equally large errors at the JCS strategy level, staring with but not limited to a split Naval command structure. That contributed greatly to the near disaster.
  18. If Armstrong wants ro throw him in as a sweetener in a Crouse trade, who are we to say no 😉
  19. Why yes, yes I have. Back in the late 70's and again in the mid 80's. It happens. But I won't compare any of these teams to that Gretzky Oilers Team, that was just disgusting.
  20. Once again, a reminder, all locker room memberships must be approved by the "committee to let outsiders in the locker room", as of now, there are no indications committee chairman Okposo has called the committee to order..... A recent press release from the committee......
  21. I haven't seen any reports that Okposo and company have given their blessing, the "Committee to let outsiders on the island" in the locker room were reportedly enjoying a nice evening by the fire pit. Don't believe me? Here's a photo....
  22. Actually, Nimitz never uttered those words, it was msg crypto padding, but unfortunately, the radioman on the New Jersey, Halsey's flag ship at the time, added the padding to the msg, which in turn caused Halsey to lose his mind when he read it lol The irony of the entire Battle of Leyte Gulf / Battle of Samar affair was that the msgs meaning, while unintentionally decrypted incorrectly, was spot on. Halsey made what could have been, and should have been, a fatal error to the invasion of the Philippines. Thanks be to God for 1 Cmdr Evans of the USS Johnston and the other Taffy 3 escorts. A lot of lives were saved that day in spite of Halsey's errors.
  23. Well, we all knew they were a work in progress. Disappointing against a beatable opponent? You bet, especially considering all that comes with the playoff drought. But we need to move past this one, on to the next.
  24. Well, this loss hurts, and it's going to hurt for awhile. 2 pts down the drain.
