  1. Okposo, doing just enough to that 3 year extension.
  2. No urgency in their game. A learning experience for the kids.
  3. The Sabres brand has been severely damaged since 06/07, even locally. Shouldn't surprise the players, they contribute to the damage
  4. Shouldn't surprise anyone given the last 12 years combined with this seasons home record.
  5. When looking at where both teams are with regards to points in the standings, strength of remaining schedule, how much of the regular seadon remains, and yes, those games that are pivotal, especially 4 point swing head to heads, the islander game makes up a good piece of the opinion I have. It was a critical game with playoff implications.
  6. The Islanders and Penguins, both currently in the wild card spots, have done what the Sabres are unable to do, win critical playoff position race games when needed. I mean, if you want to counter my opinion, or view, of the situation, let's not cherry pick, or omit the totality of the knowns. And you omit the Penguins in your response, I don't know if that was just an "oh ya, forgot about the" or an "I want to believe, I'll teach him" kind of oopsie. Doesn't matter imo either way. The Sabres point blank have proven they aren't ready to push over the hump yet in those critical games, the Islanders and the Penguins have. Shrugs..... Not much more I have on it.
  7. In the final analysis, Greenway replacing Tuch, or, by injury extension for that matter, Quinn, is hardly a catalyst for surprise or condemnation of the the line up changes. It's obvious the team is moving in to the "let's get the member acclimated/finish the season on a high note" mode. The playoffs, while statically not out of reach, are, by all of the recent past team play indicators and outcomes, out of reach. They gave the season as a "young core talent growth season". To that end, it's been successful. They identified a deficient roster need, namely puck control via size play, addressed it at a very affordable price given the assets available and with a bit of term to boot, just as Adam's described. Defensive depth next season acquired a bottom depth piece in Stillman. They are aware there is more work to do before the start of next season. I believe they will be in a position of strength next seadon for a wild card playoff spot if they meet the challenge of addressing some, if not all, of the issues identified.
  8. I only have 2 questions..... Can the guy who landed on top skate and has Adam's called to see if he can handle 6 to 7 minutes a game.
  9. I've been wondering for years why catnip and kitty litter were listed on my write offs........
  10. They aren't making it. They don't have what it takes to win the "must win" games yet. And that's being played out game after game. Next year they should be in a decent position for a wild card spot, this year, they're done imho. My only real concern is Dahlin, how no playoffs are affecting him thecway it has affected so many players that have come through Buffalo over these years.
  11. Shouldn't surprise anyone, they kept us from a cup in 99.
  12. That's the season right there. They aren't ready this season, we knew it, bit it would have been nice.
  13. Unreal, just unreal the amount that happens to this organization historically.
  14. Well, there we go. Now, take the lead.
  15. Going to OT IS NOT an option here.
  16. The Boys are gassed. Back to Back'ers and critical games to boot. The team needs to mature a bit more. They need some additional secondary scoring and roster tweaks, especially on the D and bottom 6.
  17. That's the pepco glue that hold his retainer in place, he used to much
  18. If the Sabres cannot learn to adjust the wall at the blue line it's going to be a long night.
  19. Lazy hockey, bad passing, poor puck control......and that's just Bryson
