  1. Alright, I was prepared to believe you until you said "she."
  2. Yes, I found it. It must be on page three or later . . . not much discussion, really, but Ben Myers was brought up. I guess I'll just wait and see what happens.
  3. I don't really want to start a separate thread. I thought I remembered one, but I don't see it now. Any chance we are going to be competitive for any of the undrafted players that have NHL potential coming out of the Frozen Four? Seems our cap space ought to give us the capacity to be players in the market if we choose to go that way.
  4. I think it's the happening thing right around third grade.
  5. What Granato says about the dangers of chasing perfection and also accepting that one has to work through the inevitable messiness of real life situations has applications well beyond hockey. We're fortunate to have a solid fella who happens to be a pretty damn good coach.
  6. They ignored the NHL entirely when they didn't have a stake in coverage. Now they simply do a terrible job of it.
  7. He's a starting guard with the new contract. You don't pay a backup 4M per year.
  8. I'd like to draft a WR early and find a way to bring in Juju. Still think Beasely can play in the league. It's not really fair to compare almost any wr to Hill with regards to YAC.
  9. Some think he lost a step and there was some friction about his COVID antivax stance and twitter posts, though I don't know how much of that affected the locker room. My sense is he was well liked. Mostly I think it was a salary cap issue. Imo, he is still clutch.
  10. What's wrong with you, John C? Don't bring that bad juju here . . .
  11. Probably too expensive for the budget, but it would be a great get.
  12. No one is talking about signing a Tyreek Hill in FA. You can add a talented player early in the draft. We need speed players with YAC ability to make the offense more dangerous and give Allen more easy yards. Fine if you disagree.
  13. Mahomes has a much easier time generating offense because of Hill and Kelce. He can stress a defense without having to make the superman plays Allen has to make routine for similar success.
  14. Allen is the best qb in the league. Mahomes is obviously right there, but I believe Allen is better. The main advantage the Chiefs have is Hill and Kelce. Mahomes can act as a point guard, drop off a short pass to either of those and YAC turns it into a long gain or TD. In pressure situations, he has relatively easy plays that can kill the D. Allen has to run over a D in a lot of those crucial third and fourth downs. Knox disappeared in this game, but the arrow is still pointing up. Why wasn't Davis on the field and a priority for much of this season? We need to add elite playmakers, free agency and/or the draft. That is the way to match the Chiefs, because the rules are such that the offense is always going to be able to stress even a good D.
  15. There was a fella over at the Bills' side of this forum who left when Rosen was not selected. I like Allen better than Kermit, but biased. He's definitely in the same company, and we got Tre White, too.
  16. Two years out from being a legitimate playoff team if the young developmental players hit at a reasonable rate and they add goaltending. RD would help, too. It's been a decade of despair, but there's enough real potential for hope. Unless you enjoy pessimism, of course. Some folks are like that.
  17. He wasn't terrible. The first INT Josh got greedy and should have thrown it away. There was miscommunication and a tipped ball involved in the others. Not good, but Allen ran the ball with aggression and overall had a much better day than his qb rating suggests. Burrow is recency bias. He's quite good, but "by a mile" is hyperbole.
  18. Quick throws over the middle to Singletary ought to be a basic ingredient. Showed the Cheaters Josh was going to take the easy yards and adds a dimension for the opposing defense to worry about.
  19. Considering how lousy our oline play has been this year, I think he might be playing better. I definitely don't think he's regressed. Get him a good line and maybe get Gabe Davis involved all year and the numbers would be vastly better.
  20. It's like discovering a rare coin amongst the loose change in the sofa. I'm really shocked how good this fella is turning out to be.
  21. I see. I'm not normally a keen observer of precise emoji differentiation, but when I float over that sign it says skeptical, which is more negative in connotation than I would want to imply.
  22. We need an "interesting" emoji as in "that picture might be a masterpiece, but I don't know enough to really comment, so I'm going with `interesting.'"
  23. This is the right attitude, unless one is a masochist; then expect wins and enjoy the hell out of yourself.
