I would tend to believe him after the team came outright and made this statement.... "We were notified that the NHL has suspended Nate Schmidt for violating the terms of the NHL/NHLPA Performance Enhancing Substances Program," the Golden Knights said in a statement. "While we respect the NHL/NHLPA Performance Enhancing Substances Program, we strongly dispute the suspension. We firmly believe that the presence of a trace of the banned substance was accidental and unintentional. Based on our conversations with Nate, analysis from independent medical experts and sworn testimony from the parties involved, we believe it is clear Nate was not able to reasonably ascertain how the substance entered his body. "Nate is an honest person with high moral character and great integrity. We will stand by him and support him during this time."

If you took the time to read and understand what you were responding to you'd be able to see there was no need for the sarcasm.

Let's see just how bold you can be......IF the Bills were to trade for Brady or Rodgers and go undefeated, would you still predict the same outcome??? LOL

Look around..... Any "established" veteran would be the likes of Brady, Ryan, Rodgers, Big Ben, Manning, etc....none are available. Guys who maybe were available at some point are ones like McCown, Bradford, etc...also not available. Don't think we would want them anyway and wouldn't last a couple games behind our line. I think our "brain-trust" in McBeane was to get McCarron who "sat on the bench" behind an established veteran in hopes of two things...1)get lucky and find that Garrapolo type QB and/or 2) hopes in covering up if they made a mistake in drafting Allen giving them time to find another QB. I don't think they made a mistake with Allen and it sure would have been nice if McCarron worked out to be at least a little better than Tyrod to give us some "wiggle" room. Just didn't work out that way. Then again we may never know with the line we have seen so far.

Any suggestions as to whom that might be??? Who's available that fits your criteria???

I like your thinking. At some point we need to let offensive players play offense. We need a line like the old days....French Connection. Their job was to score. I hope we can get to rolling 4 scoring lines some day soon....it makes it easier on the eyes (and nerves) when watching, LOL.

The point is that you are taking risks no matter what. How do we know Jack won't have chronic issues with the ankle (or worse) and his contract becomes an albatross.
