    Whatever the Sabres end up doing to attempt to turn the team around, they will draft players each June. I'd rather have the players from the next two drafts be top 2 picks rather than 10-12, and I'm willing to watch the team be bad another year to make that happen. I do not expect those picks to be the magic answer, but part of the answer.

    Regier certainly didn't ask for Snow to have the ability to push the pick into 2015 if the 2014 pick was too good. Snow asked for that condition because he intends on using it. If the condition is met that allows the Islanders to defer the pick given to the Sabres to 2015, they will (in my opinion).

    The Sabres would do well in such a system with their recent history of late season runs of accruing meaningless points.

    Someone on WGR (probably Schopp) floated the idea of draft order being determined by points earned after mathematical playoff elimination. This should lead to every team trying to win every game, while still awarding the highest draft choices to the teams that need them most.

    i apologize for slipping on our rule of posting my current balance before each of my last two bets. I was traveling and on my phone and just let it ride in my signature instead. i was at 1635 after Ottawa 06 Feb, lost 900 on San Jose 28 Feb, then won 300 on Dallas 03 Mar. I'm at 1035 now (not 1335 as listed above).

    No team has been punished by the league for losing on purpose (probably because proving intent would be difficult), other than the institution of the draft lottery to prevent it in the future. Now we have PLF, presumably present for many discussions about the team's strategy, working again for the NHL. Assuming the theory about PLF being too prideful to go along with the tank has any legs, what are the odds the Sabres face some sort of repercussions for their strategy, and maybe even more importantly - is there a chance in hell they actually win the lottery?

    Black and Murray doing a press conference explaining PLF's departure is as off as trotting Ott, Vanek and Ehrhoff out to explain why Ruff was fired.

    Tough to say without seeing exactly how the conditions are written but it appears neither Miller nor St. Louis has any motivation to get the deal done before the deadline that would send Buffalo more compensation. It seems more likely they'd agree in principle then sign the paperwork after the deadline. Perhaps that would just mean a 1st the following year instead of the current year though.

    Yes! And there's another scene where they camouflage themselves among the zombies by rubbing entrails on themselves but the zombies catch onto them when the rain starts to wash it off. Ok so how about putting a liver and some fava beans in your pocket and roam about freely? Also Michonne uses similar camouflage by pulling two zombies along with her after removing their arms and lower jaw. So she walks freely among a pack of other zombies because she's connected to two of them with a rope? But somehow they would detect her if the ropes weren't there? We're supposed to feel some sort of dread when a certain character is seemingly trapped in a situation, but you can't feel it properly when you don't know if the rules they've been teaching us the whole time will be followed or not. Will the zombies sense of smell work? Will their hearing? Will they be fast or slow? Has a loud hissing moaning zombie snuck up on the group undetected again?
