Confused why Tuch wasn’t gunning for it. It’s not being greedy he needed to end the game. whatever win felt great. -

They don’t look bad they’re just getting some bad luck. Greenway on the line he should be on and it’s noticeable. Okposo is d o n e in the NHL, just slow and sloppy. Stillman was a good find- miscoached player found bargain bin prices. Amazing what just bringing an injured Tuch back does to the line up. Thompson is noticeably peppy today. -
Edmunds gone. Now we really get to see whether he was the heart or the problem with the defense. Never seen such a polarizing player before.

Tuch probably can’t sit by any longer even if he isn’t healthy yet. -
It is possible to both praise someone and be critical of someone at the same time. Granato deserves praise for what he got out of Dahlin, Thompson, Power, and others. He is average at finding and pushing chemistry. Granato also is bad at line matching, can’t set the tone at home, and doesn’t know how to manage goalies. It’s just like the Bills we’re never going to make the final step to excellence with Frazier, the Sabres also won’t with Granato. It’s not just the players who need to develop, the coaches do too, and his commentary last night made it clear he wants to dig his heels in about his weak spots. And the players aren’t dumb, they are going to copy this and wallow in mediocrity.

Granato has refused to pull goalies all season. Each blowout game it was obvious by the 3rd goal there was an issue and he didn’t pull and we lose a winnable game. This is no different. Granato got improvements but ain’t the guy to get us there. Good teams will pull a goalie after two goals. The goalies get over it and stay happy. Granato just a softie

Having rookies in the line up helps when injuries hit. It’s going to need to be addressed over the next few years. The criticism is just whining though. We had a better deal in place for Chychrun and didn’t get it because the player decided elsewhere. He’s obviously trying. If nothing is done this off-season then it’s merited again.

This is an interesting thought. Coach/GM is all about development, but they have steered clear of the conversations about when to choose one young players development versus anothers. Asplund being scratched went on for months until a solution was finally found. There’s been no inklings I’m aware of when the likes of Kulich’s development outweighs Peterka’s. As much as they are likely to try to just push this to the off season, I’m fully in the position of let’s see what Levi can do- it can’t be worse than what we get out of our three goalies today on their off nights. Could Kulich be our next Pominville?
