  1. Absolute embarrassment. Slow start at home. Useless power play. Both things coaching has a lot of control over and we can’t get it right. What a joke
  2. What a disaster. Looks like two teams in different leagues
  3. Oh thank god
  4. Usually no. There’s teams who have overpaid goalies who have regressed on the market and there’s teams that have a couple of blue chips they hold onto dearly. Starting goalies is usually all handled in off season. Some back ups might make a move.
  5. Nathan Mackinnon tailors his workouts to peak in the spring. Tweeners have to peak out in training camp. Yes 100% this is true, players plan all around it.
  6. That’s not what’s been said.
  7. Interpretation: 1. Any deadline acquisition needs to fit the age of the group and can’t take opportunities away from the kids developing. A vet 3C rental isn’t in the cards. 2. Levi is a superfreak. He’s hesitant to commit to any goalie that would get in his way, though they aren’t rushing him either. 3. Portillo is gone Its clear they value playing kids in the NHL over wins. Mid-season you could say it’s paid off based on the improvement by many players. At the end of the season if we’re 3 points short of the playoffs there’s going to be games you can point back to. Either way, that’s part of the plan. There’s no debate whether this is what they were doing - sacrificing this season for growth. Not a bad thing unless they can’t keep all these players they sacrificed standings for under contract. Maybe it’s their ace in the hole to keep contract dollars low? This is why players hire agents tho. Interpretation: 1. 9. People are identifying weak spots to upgrade. It may not be a gaping hole but is one if the weak spots that could be fortified.
  10. I do not want to spend on WR. It might be a weakness but I believe Josh can make any jag receiver look good. Need to fix the o line. And d line. And coaching.
  11. Bengals got jobbed. Some of the holds KCs oline had were egregious. Of course Mahomes looks like a hero when they aren’t penalized like any other team would.
  12. We just came off losing 5/6 to a bunch of bad teams. When there’s signs you gotta address them. Unless you like eternal disappointment. Toronto has had eternal playoff disappointment for a reason and we are turning into them.
  13. They nearly blew a 3 goal lead in last few minutes. Jesus. They dominated for so long yet the same old bs again
  14. It’s the end of the world as we know it
  15. Krebs, Östlund, 2nd. Let’s gooo
  16. There has to be a negative value for the contract he has. There’s so few teams in the league that can even fit it, even if it’s a long term 8AAV deal. Two younger players, but only one of them blue chip and a 2nd. Sabres have to be careful giving up too much cause those are the support players needed to fill out the roster given the core. This just accelerates that process.
  17. Do not want McCabe. He hated it here
  18. Gotta give to get. I have my favorites. This is no slight on Quinn, in a few years he’s gonna be a silent killer.
  19. I’m here too. Quinn is expendable for someone of Meiers caliber. But JJP and Kulich are the cheap fillers you can’t let go of. I’m sure there’s a way to steer them to someone else.
  20. I’d that game was close and competitive I can understand the passes That game was an outright embarrassment. In all respects. Totally outcoached. Totally out played. Totally out hustled. Like they were all threatened in the locker room before the game with their lives. And you want them to do that again?
  21. A non playoff Blues team with a -20 goal differential that we had a two goal lead within the first minute who managed to score 3 almost 4 of the course of the next 59 minutes is a severely worrisome sign. Especially when you look at the dozen two goal leads this team has blown this season, it’s a trend. They can’t defend a lead they can only hope to out score. That’s not gonna work in no playoff series.
  22. They almost blew a four goal lead, Jesus. This team has issues
  23. Disgusting. I want overreaction! honestly I receive this like Bettman’s “if you don’t like the sideboard ads you shouldn’t look at them” gaslighting non sense. There are clear deficiencies in coaching and 13 wins happened despite that. Own up to it. The fans here could predict exactly the shortfalls that were going to come and they came true - that isn’t Monday morning quarterbacking.
  24. So we’re the Vikings and they weren’t good. Just a bunch of close games.
