  1. I wonder if we could get a legit 2C for Hall (i.e. not another Staal) However, the current state of our SS evaluations could drastically change if a new coach is brought in who actually gets the most out of the players.
  2. No, this was in response to hoping they lose so RK gets fired. Look at the comment I replied to
  3. I was thinking more about Chayka and Dubas, but your point still stands
  4. It's funny, I was an anti-tanker, and now I'm lowkey hoping they lose
  5. It could be interpreted that KA's comments that seemed to reinforce RK's "philosophy" were the equivalent of TPegs statements about JBotts before he was let go
  6. And completely not addressing "why is Jack playing like #%$#%?" Hopefully, the wink/nod implication is "Jack hates RK and RK will be packing his bags next week, don't worry"
  7. We're in an age of young, hot-shot GM's who are making splashes. Sadly, I don't see KA as being one of them. But it's early. Who knows how this will play out.
  8. Sorry if this comes across as insenstive: Saying the tank worked is like saying about someone with anorexia: "their diet worked!" No, it did not work.
  9. yeah... I'm actually truly starting to believe that RK literally has them practicing soccer instead of hockey
  10. There is a "soft spot" right below the blocker and above the pad
  11. You're splitting hairs to benefit your tenuous argument. I'll say it again- it's like saying McKinley didn't die from a gunshot wound, but rather, he died from sepsis. Does anyone doubt the gunshot had something to do with it?
  12. For the past few years, any time the Sabres have actually been performing well and controlling play, Sam Reinhart has been the oil that allowed the machine to function.
  13. I know everyone has been floating this theory around that RK would become president of hockey operations, or some equivalent, but I cannot imagine the Pegulas basically supplanting themselves like that. Does/did anyone actually think there is/was any realistic chance of that? Theoretically even, before this current disaster of a season?
  14. April (EDIT) I mean, May (was thinking normal season) It also may be because of what little power we assume KA has
  15. If this is accurate, my biggest concern is that it means the Pegulas are "all-in" on RK. As pointed out, they are loathe to admit they are wrong, and RK may be their biggest blunder so far (because of the role he was supposed to play/the power he was given).
  16. I've had this notion from the beginning that KA was hired with the understanding that he and RK would almost be "co-GM's." I have no evidence of this, it was just an assumption, based on RK's profile as a more "known" quantity, and KA's as a completely "unknown." I'm wondering if anyone has any insight/information on the dynamic of their relationship. The relevance is that, if my suspicion is anything close to true, it means KA will not let go of RK when it is necessary.
  17. On the power play, today, I've watched the Sabres: 1. Dump the puck in and go for a change (giving possession to the Flyers) 2. Go for a change while Dahlin is carrying the puck into the offensive zone by himself, to be stripped of the puck with no support, giving possession back to the Flyers If this isn't coaching, I don't know what it is
  18. Having no fans is benefitting the Sabres so much. Can you imagine what the "boo's" would be like at this point?
  19. I thought he made one pretty big save. Just by virtue of the fact that he takes up more space than Hutton, I think he's a better bet.
  20. I think it went crossbar, straight down smack on the goal line, but not in
