  1. Little more muscle on shot by Dahlin would have helped, kinda flubbed on the shot.
  2. you can still play physical in your own end to help create turnovers!! Defense is also weak in front of the net.
  3. 6 minutes left in the second and Boosh has the only registered hit for the Sabres so far..this is a problem.
  4. I'd be ok with this... https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/3894299
  5. So I think everyone on this board would agree at even $2-3 million more a year, we would rather have Meier than Olofsson. So KA needs to use Olofsson to get a d partner for Power and then use prospects and picks to get Meier.
  6. One thing I keep seeing on here is that Buffalo shouldn't get Meier because of his qualifying offer being $10 million. Any team trading for him will want an extension in place before the trades made...ie, Tkachuk from Calgary to Florida. This also means that you don't have to have the salary be at or above the QO...ie, Kotkaniemi's QO was $6.1 million and he signed an extension with a cap hit of $4.82 million. If KA likes his game better than VO's, (I certainly do), than you give Meier a 7-8 year extension for $8.5 million and make the trade. Imagine having Skinner, TNT, Tuch, Meier, Cozens, and Quinn as your top six for the next four years. Then having Kulich, JJP, Krebs, Savoi, Jost or Mitts be your 3rd line. Fill the 4th line in with grinders and PKers and I feel that is a complete team. You move Olofsson for a solid 2RD to play with Power and move Joker to 3rd pair. Thoughts
  7. It has been rumored that if team makes an offer that San Jose would except than that team could talk extension before trade is made. Buffalo could have an offer that San Jose likes, but if KA doesn't like what Timo wants in extension than the trade would not happen. I could see KA giving him 7 years at $8.25 million. I'd send them Rosen, and 2023 1st rd.
  8. I know VO has been scoring but with added ice time JJP and Quinn provide that next year. I would maximize VO's value by moving him this deadline. A team in contention will want his scoring and give up a 1st todo so. He is not part of the long term plan. Bryson should only be back next year as the 7th d-man. I can see KO coming back on a one year deal before he retires. Probably around $2 million. I think Girgs will move on. Likes the progress and where Buffalo is going but can see hime going to play in Pittsburg, his wife is from there. Needs- 2nd pair RD to play with Power Physical winger or center who can win face-offs.
  9. So I can see KA gaining picks utilizing the cap space by being the 3rd team with a Chicago move involving either Kane or Toews. Sabres can send Bishop to Chicago to help keep them above the floor. Then retain half of either Kane or Toews salary in exchange for a decent pick Scenario is Kane or Toews to NYR. Rangers send Chicago 2023 1st rd pick and young player, (Kravtsov or Gauthier). Rangers send Buffalo 3rd rd pick, (Colorado pick), for 50% retention. Buffalo sends Chicago Bishop contract to help keep them above the cap floor.
  10. Boosh not playing like he did for Leafs last year. Needs to play more physical without taking penalties.
  11. My options https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/3863956
  12. After the three losses this week, does KA look to make any moves? Still think if he can get anyone signed beyond this year or anyone who is an RFA, he will make moves if it makes the team better moving forward. Who would everyone like to see KA go after?
  13. Preds are always tough at home. But I think 5-3 win tonight. Thompson, Skinner, Quinn, Hinny, and Power with goals.
  14. So 7 minutes into Florida at Vegas game, Florida is leading 1-0 with zero shots on goal!!
  15. Sabres need another player like Tuch who even if he provides half the offensive production would benefit this team.
  16. Again having trouble with a big team. Losses to bigger, more physical teams starting to mount. Seattle(2X), Arizona, Vancouver, Ottawa(2X), NJ, and Philly are all losses where I believe Sabres have more talent, but can't match the physical play. You play .500 hockey in those games , the team is in the playoffs.
  17. Noticing a trend that Sabres beat teams that are skilled but struggle against the more physical grinding teams.
