Think we can get JVR from Toronto for a second and third rd pick?

Depth signings RW- Seth Griffith LW- Kevin Porter G- Adam Wilcox D- Matt Tennyson

So I missed on the some players but had the right team. I see Pomms filling in on third line RW to give us depth scoring and someone who can replace Gionta on PP and PK. Would have preferred Dumba but Scandella will fit in nicely. I think Bonino becomes main priority UFA.

Would you trade Dumba for Reinhart straight up?

I think we give Bonino a three year deal for 9 mil to be our third line center and PK specialist. Take some pressure off of ROR. May be a little more than some would want to pay, but I believe good value for a third line center who can score 15-2- goals. I would also like to see them go after RW Brett Connolly to replace Gionta as 3rd pairing RW. Veteran who can score 10-15 goals. Could get under good contract like 4 years at 8 million. Still would like to see them move Kane or Reinhart for Dumba or Vatanen.

I don't get the love for Reinhart. So he has a great hockey IQ...take away his PP points the first two years and he is a 30 point per year player who gives you nothing else. No speed or toughness. I didn't like the pick when we drafter him...I liked Draisaitl better myself because he was a big winger

I think Reinhart gets more of a bridge deal while Jack will get a 6 or 7 year extension.

I want someone with more speed and already signed to a reasonable contract. Don's want to see Sabres in the situation in two or three years where they would have to sign Jack and Reinhart to big deals. Would you rather have Hanifin or Reinhart?

Just for kicks and giggles- Kane and Seabrook from Chicago- 17.3 cap hit for the next five years for Reinhart, Ennis, Bogo and #8 pick- Reinhart, Bogo and Ennis just over 10 mil cap hit on shorter contracts. Chicago wants to make changes after the last two years of first rd exits. Draft is in Chicago. Would love to see Kane playing with Eichel for the next five years.

With some big names on the move like Panarin, Sadd, Stepan; I definitely see either Kane, Ennis or Reinhart being moved. Botts said today that Phil has had good talks with Kane and they like the fact he scored 25 goals at even strength. Plays into the speed game they want to play. If Strome can get you Eberle, Reinhart can get you a lot more.

With Ulmark signed cheap for the next two years I propose JBott does the following with the Sabres goalie situation. Expose Lehner in the expansion draft and protect Ullmark. Have Vegas take Lehner to be their young proven goalie. As part of this arrangement of exposing Lehner to Vegas, Vegas would also take Fluery from Pittsburgh. Vegas then trades us Fluery for a second rd pick this year and next year and Matt Moulson or Tyler Ennis. Sabres then could talk with Peterson about competing with Ullmark for the back up role to Fluery for the next two years with one of them eventually taking over the starting role. Sabres- Fluery- starter, Ullmark- back up Rochester- Peterson- starter, Johansson- back up Cincinnati- Kasdorf- starter

I have never been impressed with Sam's game. Does not have great speed. Is only ok defensively. Has scored half his goals on the PP. I think Sam would return more than E Kane because of people seeing potential and he is still on ECL and wouldn't cost as much. I think Chicago would be interested in getting him and move him to center P Kane or stay at RW with Toews. I just don't know what we could get from Chicago. They may be shopping VanRiemsdyk since they won't be able to protect him. Maybe Larsson and Reinhart and Chicago's 2nd to Chicago for VanRiemsyk, Krueger, and Hartman. I 'm guessing on the value of each of these players, not sure if it is not enough or more than enough.

Agreed, they did not get much in return for Hall. Edmonton is trying to get the right pieces in place after drafting just the "best player" available for so many years. They have such an influx of young players that are ending their ELC that they need to make cap space. If they want Ennis, Girgensons, and a second for Eberle, I think that is pretty fair value to dump a $6 million dollar contract.

So I'd be interested in Eberle for Ennis and a 2nd rd pick this year. Age is the same, gives Edmonton almost 3million in cap relief. We get a speedy RW to play with Eichel. Eberle fills in until Nylander/Baptiste is ready to step up to NHL. I would then sign Kane. I like his speed game and aggressive play better than Reinhart. Reinhart would definitly return an elite defenseman like Vatanan or Lindholm. Kane, ROR, Okposo Foligno or UFA, Eichel, Eberle

I agree to extend him now for another 4 years would be the best fit. Moulson, Ennis, and Gorges will be off the books by then and Jack and Sam will still be on their bridge deals. Any longer than 4 years and you start to have cap trouble. That is unless JBot feels better about Kane and wants him long term and trades Sam for a defenseman. Which I can see happening. LV takes Ennis or Moulson. Sam traded to Anaheim for Vatanen. Vatanen is RD 3 years left on contract at cap hit of $4.875mil Sign Kane to 6 years at front loaded contract. Yes it would be a stretch to land all these UFA's but one or two forwards and one of the dman would be a definite upgrade. This team still needs a shake up. To me still too many of the same type of players on third and fourth lines. Larsson, Foligno, Girgensons, ERod, are going to give you 5-10 goals a season. I liked Ennis but he is not the same player he was before concussions. Team needs more depth at D. Faulk and Gorges should be 7-8 defenseman who only play when injuries happen, thus leaving younger players to develop in Rochester instead of being pushed too soon into the NHL.

I think GMJB should give serious considerations to UFA's- Bonino 3rd line center, Oshie 2nd line RW, Brett Connolly 3rd line RW, Kris Versteeg 3rd line LW. On defense look at Shattenkirk or Del Zotto for top four and Quincy for bottom pair. Moulsson bought out or hopefully Vegas would pick him up. Lineup Kane- ROR- Reinhart Okposo, Eichel, Oshie Versteeg, Bonino, Connolly Foligno, Larsson, (Baptiste or Bailey) Carrier and Deslauriers extra Defense McCabe, Shattenkirk DelZotto, Ristolainin Guhle, Bogo Goalie- Lehner Ullmark
