  1. Unfortunately I think we're realistically going to have another rough season next year and we'll struggle in streaks like we have all throughout this year but I'm confident that we will be competitive and that we've found the right HC and GM, there will be improvement next season but it won't come until the season after that where we're actually vying for a playoff spot imo
  2. I'm sure the hope by management is that it will be C Tage Thompson, RW Alex Tuch, LW Peyton Krebs, C Dylan Cozens, RW Jack Quinn, LW J.J. Peterka and on defense LHD Rasmus Dahlin, RHD Henri Jokiharju, LHD Owen Power, Player not yet named, LHD Mattias Samuelsson, player not yet named. Goalies- UPL, Devon Levi but we will be hard pressed to think every player will work out so we'll have to see who pans out but all these players should be in the lineup by next season. I don't have Middlestadt listed as his injuries are starting to mount up and when he is on the ice I don't see anything in his game that makes me believe he should be in that core group but that's just my opinion. I think we should trade both Ryan Johnson and Victor Olofsson for RHD, I think both could net us core RHD pairs, Oloffson right away I'd say at deadline and Johnson more towards draft time.
  3. Even the best teams put out these kinds of games throughout the season, it's one of those games where nothing is working for them no matter what they do. This year is all about the prospects getting playing time whether it's good, bad or ugly on the ice and it sure was bad and ugly tonight. I loved Dahlin's fire tonight, I really hope this is who he becomes as a player. I also like Matias Samuelsson's game, he was hitting and getting the puck out quickly. I'm not sure why Biro was called up before Peterka, a Rochester thing perhaps? You could just tell from the first period that they were all just out of sink and now onto the Blues.
  4. I love Dahlins fire tonight! I don’t care what the score is if Dahlin can be a scorer who also destroys people I’ll be a happy fan.
  5. If you slow down the play, Dahlin is coming in full steam and Johnson has 2 hands on his stick and pushes Dahlin in the chest but the force of them colliding brings the stick into the face area. He did finish the game so I'm not sure what happened there, I heard on the radio that he was sore so they wanted to be cautious about it.
  6. I just want to ask a serious question without being called a hater or that I have an agenda. If Dahlin would have made that hit instead would you be ok with it? or congratulating him? Please think about it clearly before answering. I know exactly what i would have said...."Now that's the Dahlin I've been looking for". I get that many are pissed because we not only lossed the player but they went down the ice and scored a goal to win the game. I still don't see it being a terrible hit but i grew up watching hockey in the 80's so I'm assuming that's why it doesn't bother me as much
  7. So he has become tougher? I'm not seeing it but if you think so that's cool. Like I've stated I like his play since the All star break, I like how he's blocking shots and playing a better defensive game, not making stupid passes that get intercepted and taken back for a goal. In general I'd like us to get tougher, add some bigger, meaner players through the draft, that's all I'm saying.
  8. Dude I didn't single out Dahlin if you go back to my original post, I simply said I want to get bigger and tougher and cited a few players get pushed around and names Dahlin as one. It doesn't mean I want him replaced, I obviously want him to succeed since I'm done with the suckfest that has been the Sabres for quite some time.
  9. You have an unhealthy man crush. I don't know what else to tell you.
  10. What is it with you? Everyone I mention Dahlin I'm a hater? I like his game since the all star break but he gets pushed around aka bodied alot for a guy his size, you can tell me otherwise, you probably will but I see what I see and you see what you see.
  11. Ok and he gets bodied all the time , hence why I said bigger and tougher. There is your more.
  12. I'm ok with the non call as both were going for the puck, high sticking was borderline imo I'm sure it won't be popular but it emphasizes me wanting to get bigger, tougher players. Bryson has gotten bodied several times, Dahlin several , Skinner goes down once touched. Also Bjork and Eakin seem worthless, how about upgrades to those 2?
  13. I truly think this would be an even trade. RW Reilly Smith is a free agent in the offseason, he makes, or was making 5M per season so they could offer a 5M per year contract to Olofsson (which is my guess is what he'll be asking for). Whitecloud and Olofsson have similar contracts now so it could work for both sides, nobody would have to throw in anything else.
  14. We seem to have troubles with these scrappy, grinder teams which is expected. I thought the effort was there but we just got out worked in our own zone which 9 times out of 10 means you'll lose the game.
  15. True but we can always take salary back also like we did with the Islanders I think it was for Boychuck.
  16. I wish Jack well, it was an unfortunate situation that happened but hopefully we got a real captain out of it (Tuch) and a solid 2 way player (Krebs). I'd say the future looks bright.
  17. I'd say trade him straight up for a RHD, some names I saw that could be available are John Marino (Pittsburgh) 24, not sure of his contract but he's a solid player. Also Zach Whitecloud (Vegas) 25 years old, they're in cap trouble. I believe he has a cap hit of 755k and then he's signed at 2.78M until 2026, that's a very reasonable deal for his excellent 2 way play.
  18. They look like they're having fun out there finally, That was a huge goal by Olofsson and finally gets the weight lifted with the empty netter also. Since the All star break Dahlin has looked the best I've seen him and who knows he might turn into the player he was supposed to be. Tokarski has been really bad, I never thought he was great to begin with but that goal was terrible. Tuch has really amped everyone up you can tell, just how he is with everyone out there, he seems like a natural born leader imo. Great win!
  19. I knew he'd be a bright spot, I hope he continues the excellent play. I think a guy like this would be an excellent captain! He reminds me alot of Shane Doan in Arizona all those years, solid player, great dude on and off the ice also would knock the hell out of you if you put your head down for a second and I'm getting those vibes from Tuch.
  20. I don't have any breef about the all star games or pro bowls but I think of it as a more fun environment for the players not a very competitive game. I usually like the competition part but I haven't watched this or the pro bowls in a very long time.
  21. Terrible but i can only imagine how much of this goes on and we never hear about it in all professional sports.
  22. I don't follow college hockey but some of those guys after looking them up look promising, I won't act like I know how college hockey stacks up to the other minor leagues as far as competition etc. but I'd like to see them take a shot on 1 or 2 of those guys for sure.
