  1. I keep hearing Adam Henriques name come up in trade rumors, not to the Sabres but in general and I've always liked this guy. He seems to be a steady contributor 40-50 point guy, hard worker and he's reliable, seems to never be injured much. I'd love for the Sabres to go after him and he's rumored on the "trade bait" segement on TSN plus I've heard his name rumored in non Sabres trades since last season.
  2. It actually worked out for Aho as Carolina wanted to sign him to an 8 year deal and Aho wanted a shorter term from my understanding. So although he may have not gotten the maximum AAV he got the term so if he keeps playing the way he is he'll have a big payday once again in the not so distant future.
  3. Am i missing something with Olofsson? Why is he in the lineup?
  4. I'm pretty sure he was the C his entire career. Scroll down https://www.rotowire.com/hockey/player.php?id=4349
  5. I wasn't aware of that, I'd still love it if Dzingel was signed to man that position.
  6. Skinner -Eichel- Reinhart Vesey- Johansson- Erod Sheary-Middlestadt-Nylander Girgenson- Larrson- Okposo
  7. I don't agree at all, has he ever even played C? I'm expecting another signing or trade for a #2 C, sign Dzingel or trade for a realistic option whoever that may be.
  8. Line 1: L Jeff Skinner- C Jack Eichel- R Sam Reinhart Line 2: L Marcus Johansson C Ryan Dzingel R Casey Middlstadt Line 3: L Jimmy Vesey C ERod R Kyle Okposso Line 4: L Connor Sheary C Rasmus Asplund R Alexander Nylander DEF 1: L Rasmus Dahlin R Brandon Montour DEF 2: L Jake McCabe R Rasmus Ristolainen DEF 3: L Marco Scandella R Colin Miller G: Carter Hutton It's amazing how much better this roster would look with Dzingel and Johansson on it. I'm not hating the defensive depth either, where does Bogo even fit? And I really hope Ullmark just dedicates himself and becomes the man in net here right away, some nights he looked unstoppable and some he looked like a PeeWee goaltender.
  9. I'm at the point where I think were getting close to these kids need to start winning now, 1st round picks are great for the future but there is no now, Marner would instantly make our roster better, would we be able to still add Johansson or Dzingel? If so I'm all for it.
  10. I just don't think he's been put in the right situations, he needs a solid d-man alongside of him like McCabe. It weakens our defense if we trade him away. Why can't Terry and Kim take the Jet and go pick up Wingel and Johannsson? ?
  11. I think Botteril needs to tell Terry Pegula to fly wherever Ryan Dzingel lives and make a pitch for him to come here because I don't see many other options, he scored 26 goals and 30 assists between Columbus and Ottawa last season, he's exactly what we need right now and there's nobody internally who can take on that position imo.
  12. If we've learned anything from the O'Reilly trade it's that we should keep our good and great players. Keep Ristolainen and sign a #2 center, simple as that.
  13. I'd like to keep the Eichel/Skinner/Reinhart line in tact and although Reinart can be removed from the line it seems dumb to do that for the sake of line 2 which there are other alternatives either through free agency or the draft. As far as a 2nd line C I don't think we have any shot at Duchene (just my opinion) but I think 2 free agents in Anders Lee or Ryan Dzingel could be strong possibilities, Move Casey Middletatdt to RW and if the trade rumors are true trade for Zucker to be your LW. For line 3 you have C rodriguez, LW Sheary and RW Okposo . All is good with the world?
  14. I'm still fine with the trade, he clearly didn't want to be here after the comments and we granted him his wish. It was no secret to other GM's that O'Reilly wanted out and hence why there wasn't much in the trade for him. So do we want a player who doesn't want to be here?
  15. Well Skinner was a great get, one that I was wanting so lets hope the trend continues, lets get some more help on defense and land another Wild defensmen in Jonas Brodin, he and Scandella would be a solid 2nd pair (Dahlin/Risto being the top obviously). possibly Trade F Justin Bailey+ D Jake McCabe + the San Jose 1st round pick.
  16. In Housley's system speed is key, Kane wasn't a snail but he's no Skinner, the league is leaning towards the speed of the wingers and were finally catching up, for this system Skinner is the obvious choice and now that Kane is paid I want to see how he produces on the ice.
  17. I've been hoping for a Skinner trade for some time, been mentioning it in many of the speculation forums on here, I love this deal for Buffalo, they just got a ton faster and Eichel has a legit goal scorer with Skinner.
  18. I really wanted to go , the tickets were gifted to me but I'm going to my sisters cabin that weekend. I just got my tickets for 5 finger death punch and breakin benjamin though, I'm frigging stoked for that show. Anyone else going?
  19. I have 2 tickets to Slayer at Darien lake if anyone is interested? $20.00 for the pair, I have them via email.
  20. The Lightning have about 10 worthy prospects, that is sure to be gutted a bit with the addition of Karlsson if they land him.
  21. If roster stays the same: Line 1 LW Connor Sheary- C Jack Eichel- RW Sam Reinhart Rasmus Dahlin- Rasmus Ristolainen Line2 LW Casey Middlestadt-C Patrick Berglund- RW Kyle Okposo Marco Scandella- Zach Bogosian Line3 LW Vladimir Sobotka-C Zemgus Girgensons- RW Tage Thompson Jake McCabe-Brendan Guhle
  22. It's a great sign though since you can't teach toughness (ask Tyler Myers) so to see it in Dahlins game at his young game is pretty awesome and I agree totally about leverage.
  23. I'd get Jeff Skinner from Carolina, he's been on the block awhile now, 26 years old, 3 time 30 goal scorer and would be our top line LW, great speed, excellent hockey IQ, he's a little light but the guy is money, I'm hoping he's the guy Botteril tries to go after and get.
  24. Ask Pekar if he's strong, didn't Dahlin bowl him over at the Tourny for cheap shoting him? He'll be just fine and is already our best Dman.
  25. I don't think 2 third liners will give us more FFS, I think collectively we will be better off and we get better character guys in the deal from what I'm reading on Berglund at least and Tage Thompson is another guy who could be in the top 6, he's a 6'5" power forward, I'm not saying any one of Sheary, Berglund, Sobotka or Thompson will get more individual points but I'm saying as a whole, were probably better off and the locker room may be a much better place at least I'm hoping so. I think I'd be more comfortable with a true #1 LW at this point with Sheary on line #2 which is why I was hoping for Kovalchuck so I'm not sure whats left out there but I'm sure we could entice someone with 2 first round picks in next years draft.
