That was a tough loss, we were all over them but Allen played like friggin Hasek in net.... We can't catch a break LOL I thought Comrie played well again, the 1st 2 goals were really tough ones, that laser to start the scoring would have probably got past many. I thought we played really inspired but the pucks didn't bounce our way unfortunately. Losses suck but I don't think this 1 was coaching or lack of effort imo.

We should get a real backup goalie so we don't have to decide between 2 mediocre ones, that would be the ideal scenario.

Solid effort all around, Comrie played well but wasn't tested all that much. I thought Olofsson had a great game, Tuch started off rough once again but the fight definitely elevated his play. Cozens might be our best player when it's al lsaid and done of this core. Can we sustain this or was it a mirage? I don't know but I'll enjoy this 1!!! See you all again Monday.

Why do people keep defending Granato, this guy just doesn't have it as a Stanley Cup champion coach. It's more of the same with this team, we suck at home, we are unprepared. I'm even starting to question Adams also, how in the world does half this board know we needed another goalie but our GM who is supposed to have hockey knowledge beyond ours not go out and get 1 4 years in a row, a good 1 that is.

Going on year 3 of Don Granato and nothing seems to have changed, the forward group still doesn't play great defense and neither do the defensemen at times. I get that it's the beginning of the season but this is the Sabres ever year under Granato. Why the slow starts going into year 3? Why do we still have problems winning on home ice in year 3? He's a great developmental HC but I don't believe he's the right HC to lead us to the Stanley Cup playoffs and it's not just about the beginning of this season it's just more of the same and I really want to be wrong because I like the guy, seems like a great person but I just don't see him doing much than he has for this team, I'm sure i'll get the hate and hear the "relax it's only game 2" LOL .

This is exactly how I feel. Seems like already too much of the same as we saw throughout last season, of course the sky is not falling but already a home loss when that was our achilles heel.
