They should have traded for O'Reilly.

Everyone in sports hates losing, everyone of these guys are competitors, only the selfish express that to the media. No need to give them even more fuel to the fire and the words he said also linger with others in the locker room, that's what creates bad environments in the first place.

Anyone who openly admits to losing the passion for the game to social media outlets should be immediately jettisoned the hell out of here whether we all knew it or not, this from a guy who drove drunk straight into a Timmy Ho's? How about F Andrei Svechnikov, F Filip Zadina, F Jesperi Kotkenemimi or just trade the 3rd for an established fast, scoring Forward at RW or LW.

I don't think O'Reilly will be traded for draft picks I think he''l be traded for an established player, possibly a Defenseman like a Tyson barrie of COL or Kris Letang of Pittsburgh then trade Ristolainen for a top Winger like Pacioretty and a draft pick? Makes more sense imo.

Reinhart's play has gone up each season so there is hope, I think it's a stretch to think he's more than a 50 pt player at this point but I could be wrong.

I think he'd be a great fit, I doubt he goes to the worst place team but if he sees potential to be the "missing piece", I doubt he's coming back just for the money, he was making bank in Russia so who knows, at 35 he'd still be our best winger by quite a large margin, I've been watching him over in the KHL, he's still quick, top scorer there and that piece on , the barstool column was complete trash, who reads that ? Anyways I was just seeing what the consensus would be.

I've always been a big fan of Kovalchuck, he's a hard worker, a goal scorer and seems like a decent dude from what I read. Many people think he abandoned the Devils but he was offered around the same money to play closer to home, can't say I fault anyone for that. Any possible way he'd want to come here and play with the youngins? Is he strickly going to play for a Stanley Cup caliber team? Would we have the cap to sign him? All I know is that he'd be an upgrade to Kane imo. What do you guys think?

I think O'Reilly is part of the problem here unfortunately, he's in a system that relies on forwards getting up the ice fast, something he doesn't do well, he's a decent player but for what he's worth I don't like the fit, he 's a great face off guy, that landed us last place in the league so I'm sure there's a better fit out there. I'd love for them to land a top 4 d-man with O'Reilly and a top 6 forward with Ristolainen. I think this team would be better off without those guys who don't "fit the process", just my opinions.
