If Ben Chariot netted a 1st then Colin Miller is every bit as good/bad as him.

Don't we already have enough mediocre players? If someone is willing to pay for ours I would hope we would deal him.

To be fair, the way everyone was standing around looking lost, I don't think there would have been an in game adjustment that would have made a difference in this 1 imo.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Puljarvi and EVander Kane are pretty darn good also.

Then it's time to spend some Pegula bucks and get a 25 goal scorer just don't pay him 9M per season like Skinner.

He's never had more than 20 goals in a season, it's not like we're trading away Matthew Tkachuck.

Was there ever a doubt that we have miles to go? I'm looking forward to Miller being traded, I hope someone takes him off our hands!

I watch them during game intermissions, I of course like Marty but I can't understand him alot of the times.

I don't listen to it, just assumed it was another fluff. My bad!

I'm assuming it will be like one bills live, a fluff piece where the Sabres can do no wrong.

I've said this way before Eichel was traded that he brings his entire team down with him and it continues with the Knights. I went with pick #12, there are like 4 teams below them that are going on win streaks while the Knights are going in the opposite direction.

Ok I'll take that argument, so say he's being paid 4-4.5M per season where do you see him fitting? Line 1 over Tuch? Line 2 over jack Quinn? Line 2 over J.J. Peterka? He'll be 27 at the start of next season. that's great that he made a nice shot the other night but he doesn't do it nearly enough. His rookie season was his best with 20 goals and 42 points in 52 games, 13 goals in 2020 and 32 points in 56 games and this year now he has injury concerns, 10 goals and 27 points in 50 games so far. This to me is a very replaceable player imo.

Isn't this where those salary dumps would come into play? I doubt we trade every single one of those guys at the trade deadline. Lets say we trade Hagg, Miller, Eakin, Anderson and Olofsson. We still have plenty of veterans in Okposo, Hinistroza, Girgensons and Tuch has established himself in the leadership role.

I like the feel good story that Anderson has brought and shows these young kids what it's like to be a pro but I don't want feel good stories next season, I want to at least act like we're trying to make the playoffs even if I know we're most likely another season away. We need a legit veteran goalie to contend with UPL (Keumpfer, Koskinen, Korpisalo), while we wait to see what we really have with Levi and Portillo or have Levi/UPL battle it out and have Portillo in Rochester or Portillo/Levi battle it out in Rochester, however we decide to do this. We should deal all players with value and take on contracts that will net us picks for salary dumps and hopefully in those dumps we come away with a RHD. I fully expect Craig Anderson, Vinny Hinistroza, Colin Miller, Robert Hagg, Mark Pysyk and hopefully Victor Olofsson dealt at the deadline. I wouldn't be opposed to them keeping Hinistroza.

Put him with Power then but I like the Samuelsson/Fitzgerald combo.

Colin Miller and Victor Olofsson seem to be the only real trading chips, we'll probably give hagg and Eakin away which I'm good with.

If the idea is to progress our young core then why not ask if he'd like to re-sign, if not ship him at the deadline.

Realistic options? I'd say no way guys like Subban or Letang come here, those guys will be on contenders for sure. Re-sign Vinny Hinistroza 2 years 4M Give RHD John Klingberg (DAL) a solid raise 6M per for 4 years give Darcy Keumpfer a 2 year 6.5M per deal- the pay raise may be enough to get him here, Colorado re-signed Francouz so this would be the guy I'd target. If he won't sign here I'd go after Mikko Koskinen next, same contract. re-sign Mark Pysyk They can also take on other teams salary cap dumps to get the rest of the floor.
