There have been only 12 trades to date since I opened this thread. The bigger deals so far have been
1) 2/14 - Tyler Toffoli (to Calgary) for a 1st plus a mess of picks and prospects
2) 3/14 - Josh Manson (To Colorado) for a good prospect and a 2nd
3) 3/16 - Ben Chariot (to Panthers) for a 1st, a 4th and a prospect
4) 3/16 - Jarnkrok (to Panthers) for a 2nd, 3rd and 7th
5) 3/18 - Hagel (To TB) for 2 conditional 1sts and 2 players.
I thought it would be heating more already. Back in 2019 (just before covid struck) there have been 19 deals before the actual deadline day and 32 deals on the Monday of the trade deadline. Of the 19 deals prior to deadline day, 9 were important deals involving 1st rd picks or multiple picks including at least one 2nd rd picks.
Tyler Toffoli was traded then for Schaller, Tyler Madden a 2nd in 2020 and a conditional 4th. This year Toffoli went for another Tyler (Pitlick), prospect Emil Heineman, a 1st, a 5th and another conditional 4th.
Will we see 32 deals again on Monday?
