That's how it feels. Hagg for a 6th is evidence of that. I can understand not taking a bad offer for Pysyk, Vinnie and Anderson, especially if you might want them back next year. Still might as well get something for Miller. He certainly is going to be re-signed.

This has been a very Bruins 2015 centric trade deadline. 1st rd bust Senyshyn traded. 2nd rd depth forward Lauzon traded (for a 2nd pick). 1st rd malcontent DeBrusk extended but still on the trading block. They had 3 consecutive 1st rd picks (13,14,15) and 6 picks in the top 52. That could have been a franchise defining draft in the deep 2015 draft and besides Carlo and DeBrusk they didn't get much.

I assume most of those points belong to Anderson. I wonder what the figure would be if he had the negative affect of having defensively challenged D in the lineup is factored in.

Despite how much I loath RK, I have noticed that Skinner and Dahlin are better defensively since playing for him. For Dahlin it might just be maturity, but for Skinner he is definitely more D aware then he was a few years ago. (Yes those words tasted awful).

Not expecting a goaltending move today by KA. I think he’s content with Tokar and Anderson for the season, unless someone makes a stupid offer for Anderson and Anderson wants a last shot at a Cup. I think Anderson likes the kids on this team and likes his mentor role.

Bargain trade for SJ. I get the Minn wants D depth for the playoffs, but I think Kahkonen is a pretty good goaltender.

They by better players right now, but Mitts is a much more talented then Thompson and probably Skinner because Skinner’s passing is mediocre at best. Tonights Mitts was the player we saw last season. Hopefully this is a sample of the future this season and beyond. Also I love feisty Cozens and Dahlin. They are giving us an edge. It’s funny how that works.

Dahlin has become the player we hoped when he was drafted. It has really clicked. He was the best player on the ice. Our two most talented players, Mitts and Dahlin, we on full display tonight. Amazing job by DG and the boys coming home with 4 points on this trip especially after Edm blew them out of the building. As much as I don’t like Butcher or Miller, both helped the Sabres keep up with the frantic pace that game was played at. Now who does KA leave out West?
