  1. I was curious on how the other 2 top prospects that Jbot considered from Stl were doing this season. Like Tage, Robert Thomas and Jordan Kyrou have fully blossomed this season. Both are now pt a game players, but more playmakers then goal scorers. Thomas has 60 pts in 60 games with 14g and Kyrou has 63 pts in 63 games with 20 goals. Also both guys are under contract for one more season. Tage, while not a pt a game player (yet?), is by far the goal leader of the 3 with 32 in 68 games (tonight not included) and 57 points overall. I wonder if all 3 guys’ next contracts will be semi based on the others? Regardless, all three guys will be expensive to re-sign. If Tage scores 30 again next season, I’d expect a contract similar to Dahlin’s bridge deal.
  2. Definitely a factor. Still Dryden McKay is a great name for a goalie and he has had an excellent career. 4 seasons of sub 2 gaa and save% around 930 with 2 Frozen 4s is an amazing accomplishment. He needs to play two NHL games to double his Dad’s NHL career.
  3. I don’t think that is unreasonable given how the team has played since the calendar turned to March. We still need for veteran depth on D and a good goalie. Hopefully we’ll have those acquisitions to add to this thread.
  4. Carly wrote and owns her music. She wrote this song because Cat Stevens was late coming over to her home for dinner. I’m sure she sold the rights to her song to Heinz for considerable $.
  5. Inky, I didn’t know you had a GIF
  6. There is some justice in the world. He was practically a one man team many nights. Congrats Devon! Well earned. He is a finalist for the Hobey! How many goalies win the Hart in the NHL? @Buffalonill https://hobeybaker.com/VFH/vfh2022-devon-levi/
  7. No, not really, just trying to update the thread. Was my update inaccurate? Did I miss anything? Oh yeah, I forgot to add that he failed to weaponize any of our cap space at the deadline to garner more assets for the franchise.
  8. So what has GM Kevyn been up to lately? Traded D Hagg for a 6th rd pick a day before the trade deadline. Went to the NCAA Regional and watched his prized goalie Devon Levi lose. Then lost a pt a game AHL forward Arttu Routsalainen to a Swiss league team. Then went to the Frozen Four and watched all four prized prospects lose. Then only managed to sign one (Owen Power) of those 5 prospects to a contract (so far).
  9. Your not missing much. Vogl's next fall lineup from Nov 2021 already has some hits and misses. He predicted: Skinner Cozens KO Asplund Mitts Tuch Quinn Krebs JJP Girgensons Thompson KO with R2 and Bjork in reserve. The obvious miss is R2 who is gone from the organization when the season ends. Thompson is now the top line center and Krebs looks entrenched on the wing. Bjork is also likely to be gone. The D is similar to most predictions except he has Laaksonen at the 3rd pair RHD. Oskari is unlikely to make the team next fall if ever. He also agrees with everyone here that KA needs to acquire a goalie to pair with UPL next season. This was also written before KA said was actively looking for veteran help on the right side. The point of his article was to show how the kids will factor in over the next few seasons and how we'll probably be ready for the playoffs in another 3 years. I'm calling BS here. Obviously we have 5 months of additional info, but this team looks primed to make a leap in performance next season as long as KA gets the vet goalie and RHD we need.
  10. it was a joke, although defending Toronto's or TB's offenses is no easy task either.
  11. And for your first trick you get to draw into the lineup against Barkov Huberdeau and the rest of the East leading Florida Panthers. No problem. Go get’m tiger.
  12. Vogl on the Athletic tweeted the same thing for all 3 guys. He said they’ll burn a year regardless if they suit up or not because they are all 20+.
  13. Great story on Aaron Huglen and his recovery from back problems that cost him nearly 2 years of hockey. https://theathletic.com/3229887/2022/04/08/sabres-prospect-aaron-huglen-nearly-lost-hockey-now-through-pain-he-plays-on/
  14. Sing with me Anticipation, anticipation Is makin' me late Is keepin' me waitin'
  15. That’s way they added Tavares, for all the good that did for them.
  16. Don’t forget the players who KA received for him are on pace (over 82 games) for 21g and 68 pts (Tuch) and 15g and 39 points (Krebs). Good numbers for a rookie. Also TNT vs ROR ytd TNT: 68gp 32g 25a 57 pts ROR: 66gp 17g 30a 47 pts
  17. Revised List: I forgot UPL.
  18. One other thought 4 Sabre prospect enter the Frozen Four and all four leave losing in the semi final. Frankly they were beaten by teams that play a better team game.
  19. Michigan lost that game because they didn’t play with enough structure, played as individuals to often and their coaches failed to have a good gameplan to overcome the trap. Power honestly needs a rest. His game looks tired. Portillo the same.
  20. Just finished watching the game and Carolina was the better team almost all night. Our defense made some bad decisions with the puck, but Eakin’s mindless pass right to Carolina sucked the life out of the team. On the plus side wicked pass by Skinner to Thompson. Also really strong play by Mitts to dig the puck out on VO’s pretty goal. Still not enough of that tonight.
  21. Honestly Power wasn’t the same player after the Olympics
