Levi's play in the CCHL also has to be considered. Yes it's a tier 2 league, but he was so good that Hockey Canada saw enough in him that they took him over all the CHL major junior goalies. And by his play in the tournament, they were right.

UPL was 20th in the ECHL for save% for goalies that played 10 games or more. Thats getting by, not succeeding. This is his 3rd season in Roch and he hasn't gotten better. I would like to send him to the ECHL until he's firing close to being a top 5 goalie.

You saw him in the preseason, right? UPL is not just a little bad, he's a lot bad right now.

Since Granato took over, the team is playing really fun to watch hockey. There are a lot of good young kids to root for, and more in the system. If you're not happy yet, you're doing it wrong.

I should have mentioned in my original post. I'm in Grimsby, Ontario which is on the Western fringe of Niagara. I work (pre-Covid WFM) about 25 min to the arena and manage to go to 3 or 4 games a year. I used to go to a lot more before my two kids got into rep hockey.

Checking Google, most links say that Greater Rochester is still largely considered WNY. Someone living there might know better though. Geographically, it's still pretty far west and it's still part of Sabres and Bills nation so I've always considered it WNY... Just not Greater Buffalo.
