That’s what the Sabres get for being the worst run organization in the NHL. NO ONE wants to be here. Not shocking at all actually.

This deal isn’t happening until the Sabres lower their asking price from 4 pieces to 3 or less. That should be obvious by now. If someone was willing to give those 4 big pieces it would have been done before or on draft night. Teams are waiting out KA. So KA can either dig in and wait and hope or he can accept less. Ultimate game of chicken now. My guess is the Sabres will ultimately take less than they had hoped for.

Honestly, how many possible 20 goal scorers are on the roster? Skinner, Olaffson maybe Mitts? Not sure what our lowest ever goal output total for a season is but I definitely bet the 2021-22 Sabres have a real real good chance of setting a new low.

Six straight wingers taken. I wonder if the Sabres have ever done that before in a single draft? Most likely not. Maybe they plan on dressing 21 wingers on game nights 3 years from now.

2021-22 will just be a continuation of the 2021 season. Hopefully it’ll at least result in another #1 overall pick next year.

Kings seem to have their act together in this draft. Numerous trades already to get the guys they’ve wanted.

Start preparing yourself for this. It’s what a lot of us have been fearing/dreading as draft day approached and these trades were most likely going to be made.

I would agree. I’d have to think IF it’s 33 + Reinhart it will be a major piece or pieces coming back our way.

But why else the sudden urgency by both teams to get something done right NOW? Before 33 comes off the board. Just a suggestion that it could indeed be involved.

I’m thinking the timing seems interesting considering, end of the night. Buffalo is drafting first up tomorrow. Perhaps that pick is going to Florida along with Reinhart. So this could be a multiple piece trade. Pick 33 and Reinhart for pieces back.

Eichel was injured before the season. He missed a lot of training camp. It was reported locally, nationally and discussed here plenty. He then was further injured shortly into the season as well.

A hot goalie and a gritty, timely scoring team is all you need to win in the playoffs. (See 98, 99 Sabres) Just gotta get in the tournament and then get hot.

It’s awesome watching Montreal prove so many wrong. Just shows hockey is the ultimate team game. Can’t judge based on talent alone.
