  1. Or, and again I haven't looked into specific names yet, is there someone out there with a big cap hit that may be playing a 1a 1b situation with good experience? I think our cap should be fine for the next couple of years until more of these big raises to the kids continue to kick in. Could we trade for someone we're describing who may be better option? If the goalie has a decent cap hit we may be able to get for cheap. Thinking like what they tried to do with Matt Murray.
  2. Fair points and I agree with you on UPL. I think based on age he can still get better and would love to find him a bunch of games in Roch if Levi ends up winning the job in Buff. I know the Sabres rolled two young guys in Miller and Biron in our last hay day but I would prefer for our rookie to have someone more experienced to interact with every day and in practises. If Sabres feel Levi has a reasonable chance to be the NHL starter next year then they should be making moves to support that. Imo that means bringing in a decent vet backup and run those two.
  3. If Adam’s is all in on Levi, and he’s purposely left an opportunity open for him to be buffalos starter sooner than later, I think the Sabres might be better served to bring in a capable vet. Sabres either develop Levi in Roch or Buff. If he’s good enough to learn on the job from Day 1 next season then I think I would rather a vet Levi can lean on. Didn’t Levi say something after signing about how excited he was to get to work with Anderson because of all his experience? I haven’t looked at goalie names who may be available but someone with a little more left in the tank than Anderson but has lots of experience and can play 30 games would be ideal imo.
  4. Agreed. But what to do with Comrie and UPL? I’m fine sending Comrie down and if he gets claimed he gets claimed but does UPL have any eligibility left to be sent down?
  5. We put our down payment on season tickets for next year and are looking to buy a small ‘cheap’ condo either walking distance to keybank centre or more likely somewhere a bit further but near the metro rail line. As a Canadian I would definitely like the experience of an agent who knows the Buffalo market and help guide us through the process. I could google to see who’s out there but prefer a recommendation based on someone they have experience with. Cheers!
  6. That I do sir. I’ve finally found my way to a remote job with very flexible hours.
  7. I’m with you brother. Well said.
  8. All this talk of season ticket holders and it finally happened. My wife gave the ok and we put down a deposit on 4 tix in the 300s. Will likely end up giving away and selling some but very excited for seasons. Hope it’s not a huge waste of money and they really are turning the corner lol.
  9. I’ll keep this in mind. Thanks. I see the Sabres offer half seasons now. Didn’t know that. Where have you been Randall?? Man I’ve missed ur posting.
  10. Ugh, I don’t want to start cheering against him. He’s a career 3.41 gaa and .894 save percentage. We are done here. This team has too much talent and too much on the line to piss away next season because of ***** goaltending again.
  11. Please let us all remember this thread when the Sabres are picking 15th in June and the thread blows up because the Sabres are morons for not picking 'their guy'.
  12. Didn’t we learn from the Hutton experiment that a backup having good numbers does not necessarily translate to them transitioning to be a good starter? Comrie was a bottom of the barrel signing and nothing more than a thought and a prayer.
  13. This is all on Adam’s for not seriously addressing goaltending….again
  14. Such amazing news but can’t believe @Brawndo didn’t break the news starting the thread!
  15. Jesus man. It should be a zero until after selection on Sunday.
  16. Sure. But he’s been the face of that school for two years. Even the political side of it is to just wait until it’s official. There’s nothing to be lost by waiting until after Sunday when his season is officially over.
  17. 100% this. Not expecting him to sign prior to Sunday. He was the heart and soul of that team. If he’s not signed by next Wednesday it’s not looking good.
  18. Same. Rereading the Quinn draft thread is fun times.
