  1. No matter what I just hope KA holds the line and doesn’t budge from his asking price. Injury or not, get the haul you want. We can’t lose this trade, he better hold the line!
  2. Eklund has been playing with grown men in the SHL (that league is no joke) and his last season ranks 17th all time in PPG for 18yo. That is ahead of some very big names at that age. Draft him at 1OA.
  3. It’s not necessarily how Jack feels that upsets so many of us, but rather how he went about saying it. Sam for example seems to feel the exact same way, but he was much more measured and classy with how he said it. Also being a captain of a team is an even further commitment. The captain is supposed to be the last off a sinking ship, not the first. There are many heartbroken and confused kids with Eichel jerseys this summer, he could at least be more demure about it.
  4. Jack still wants to play for his hometown team at some point, too bad P Kane doesn’t feel that way. I’m so done with Jack, I literally dislike him at this point.
  5. I think he will be traded but it’s hard to speculate when because there are multiple variables at play. I do sincerely hope all three (Jack, Sam and Risto) are moved out; it could be therapeutic to get rid of the malcontents and it will also feel like we finally turned the page from building off the tank fruit. Some might take issue with me calling them malcontents, but fair or not, they now fit the description. We’ll still have a meddling owner and a franchise that can’t draft well, but that and DG could be a good new starting point. Just give us a hard working team that isn’t miserable.
  6. Sounds about right; we trade Risto for not wanting to be here and he pulls a ROR and wins the cup next year. Meanwhile, we keep Jack and it just gets nastier and he becomes the most openly disgruntled captain in the history of the league. This actually would not surprise me, and that’s not being pessimistic, it’s predicting the current momentum.
  7. "I'm open for all the ideas," said Ristolainen on Monday. "Right now, it's hard. Obviously, the season just ended so, yeah, I'm frustrated and I'm pissed and it sucks. So I told him I'm open for all the scenarios: staying or if he trades me, I'm fine with that, too." Keeping Risto but trading Jack wouldn’t make any sense. We’re fine with it too Rasmus, buh bye.
  8. I’ve seen you tolerate much worse without saying anything. Consistency is hard.
  9. Yeah, okay. Our captain essentially went public and all but said he wants out. If KA plays hardball than Eichel could literally demand a trade, publicly. But I’m just saying he doesn’t have leverage because I’m trying to convince myself of something. Think you have it the other way around. If you think KA is in a strong position right now, you’re in fantasy land. Don’t care how savvy you think you are.
  10. Honestly though I can’t see how the franchise could be any more dead than it already is.
  11. After watching the WJC last year I’m convinced that Zegras will be a PPG 1C in a couple years. For an injured Jack that doesn’t want to be here in a trade where we have very little leverage, I’d say this would be a very adequate haul. We’re not in a situation where we’re trading Jack in optimal conditions. The only leverage KA has is to make him finish out his contract and I don’t see that happening.
  12. Whatever the resolution is, I hope it involves him leaving. On top of having a losing soft team, we have a head case for a captain. This is the most unlikeable Sabres team that has ever been iced. At least give us some players that are endearing.
  13. My patience goes by a game by game basis at this point, as I no longer have any.
  14. It can be, but when I think about fishing as a sport I think tournament fishing, which is definitely not my speed. I think of it as solo hunting. The KBF tournaments are really fun to watch though and it’s been a treat to watch kayak fishing grow over the last decade or so.
  15. Not the way I do it 😅 For me it’s a means to an end, something that enables me to fish more surface area. Through the years I have genuinely grown an affinity to kayaking in and of itself though.
  16. My first kayak was an 8 ft Emotion Comet (sit in). My friend still has his Emotion Glide. Nice kayaks.
  17. Nice the nucanoes look nice, probably could stand up in it. Very stable.
  18. Sweet what type of kayak do you have?
  19. What were you paddling? I have a Pelican Trailblazer.
  20. Wonder how this will impact the upcoming and long awaited NCAA football game that is expected in the next couple years.
  21. I have zero confidence in this ownership team being capable of running a successful NHL team. We’re basically the Pittsburgh Pirates of the NHL now.
  22. Yankees at Jays tonight in Buffalo, looks like a home game for NYY.
