and we traded him for Rene Robert. I was bummed that he didn't show up for the alumni gathering after Pegula purchased the team. He was a fan favorite. I wonder what happened.

Unless they draft players and acquire some younger talent. -

I'm not sure it's a confidence thing, he's just not NHL ready. -

I think all but one of the 6 writers were favorable towards the Sabres. -
And this from Sabres insider this morning "Based on @andystrickland report, I’ve heard rumblings the #Sabres are offering Ristolainen, Mittlestadt, and 2 first round picks(this year) for Point and Callahan. Tampa is deciding if it’s worth to get rid of a star in Point" This would be worth considering. Callahan and Risto have similar contracts so financially , Tampa can handle it. Is all that worth it for Point? Maybe.
-
I don't get that logic. Are the Sabres due for a letdown after a big win against the defending champs?
-
I expected more, but that may have been unrealistic. The skill level is obvious. His defensive mistakes are alarming, even for an 18 year old. Overall, pretty impressive, but a real long way to go before he is a franchise player. But he's the least of our worries.
-
it seemed to confuse you, don't criticize me.
-
Do you comprehend anything? Squat- not much. We didn't receive much of value. Come on, wake up.
-
we got squat for him, pretty sure from reports last year were that no offer was made to him, i'm sure he realized we needed a winger, especially after trading one.
-
anyone on the roster? Anyone that might help the team? O'Regan will probably never see the NHL and 2 draft picks that we don't even know and at best a few years away from even breaking the lineup. We need help today.
-
We could have made him an offer in an attempt to keep him here. We didn't get jack back yet.
-
Possibly, that's what happens with poorly run franchises. Good players would rather be elsewhere given the opportunity. Which might be why they perform better after.
-
No, he said he lost it at times. He obviously has it back. If you're happy with the trade, that's great. I think we did a crappy job, as usual.
-
He played well all last year with us. I don't believe he lost his love for the game, just got sick of the same crap we are all sick of. Doesn't mean he lost his love for the game, just like we haven't stopped following the team.
-
maybe we can match those big hauls of talent we got when we traded Kane and ROR, because that worked so well. We don't have a well run organization.
-
Who could blame him?
