  1. He's not going to play for the Sabres again. I'm pretty certain of that. We're already a dumpster fire, they needed to take the best deal available. I don't see how we are not in a worse position today than we were earlier this week.
  2. I don't think any of us are qualified to have a take on his condition. Non contact skating is obviously much different than taking body checks. But aren't we well past the 12 week 'waiting period' of physical therapy and rest? What's the next step if that didn't work?
  3. He probably wants to get treatment he feels is necessary for his injury. Can't really blame him for that.
  4. I have no idea what Adams plan is. I was totally against the idea of trading Eichel, but there is no way that it makes any sense that he stays a Sabre.
  5. If they can't get proper value after all this time, Adams should tell the rest of the league to pound sand. They've had enough time. Take a stand and tell Eichel, sorry , no go. I tried. Get ready to suit up. If not, gotta move him for the best deal available, and they probably blew that already.
  6. I'm not referring to the medical staff. More of , who do you believe? The agents or the Sabres?
  7. should we listen to the most incompetent organization in the NHL?
  8. Is everyone missing the part where the Sabres medical staff agreed that surgery is necessary? Why won't they have the surgery? If this is truly the case, I'd be pissed if I were Eichel as well. Is there any justification for holding up agreed upon necessary surgery being performed asap in order to be ready for the start of the regular season? The agents are saying this has been agreed upon since June, we are entering August. Why no surgery?
  9. I agree that it's not a tank as we know it. It's a full rebuild which means you probably are a bad team for a couple years. But I don't think the 1 year deals have anything to do with complacency. The players aren't worth more than a 1 year deal for $750K and not good enough to commit to for more than a year.
  10. It's not that complicated, is it? The last thing we need to worry about is having too many good goalies.
  11. he only works in increments of $750K
  12. That just sounds nuts to me. You won't sign a guy because in 3 or 4 years we hope someone we have in the system will be better? Not a problem any GM should worry about.
  13. The last week couldn't have gone much worse for the franchise and the fans. There really is no light at the end of the tunnel right now, it's a train coming at us.
  14. Happens all the time. Look at ROR and the treatment he got. He's a cancer... when he played so well as a Sabre.
  15. I never wanted to trade a talent like Eichel, but it really looks like we messed up by not getting a good trade done, especially after the rest of the roster results of today. If we can't move him, he'll be as miserable as can be, if we do move him, it'll probably be a horrible deal. What a mess.
  16. Thanks for cheering me up.
  17. This is one of the most depressing days I can remember as a fan. Nothing like losing to Dallas or anything like that. Many of us knew this day/week would be bad, it's been horrible. Nobody of quality on the team that had a choice to stay did that, they all left. Nobody of worth came back. We have no choice but to build through the draft and it's not really a great plan. Need free agents as well. We can't even trade Eichel.
  18. Yeah Punch, but you were smart enough to get Roger Crozier. He helped make us competitive much of the time.
  19. He could buy beer for the rookies.
  20. Unfortunately, these might be the goalies we are left to choose from.
  21. Get a third team included to get a chance at a better 2022 first.
  22. He re-signed with Oilers. He's no good anyway. Can't imagine any high profile FA signing in Buffalo. Unless he doesn't get any offers, which would be a shock.
  23. I have a friend that 'knows' people with the Sabres. Apparently when RK was fired and Granato took over, the Sabres asked Jack, who was in Florida at the time, to come back to Buffalo to show support and give good PR to be around the team. He said no, at that point, they decided he's a goner.
  24. "There was a substantial offer made to him," said Quinn, who acknowledged making two recent proposals to the Drury camp. "We made it perfectly clear that we were prepared to meet the financial. They never once countered. They did not want to give us a number and ultimately said they didn't want to come back. They wanted to go to New York." I thought they had an agreement. I was wrong.
