Great tournament, Great game

I can't recall any player on either team out of position or making mistakes at any point in the game. The most disciplined game I recall in a long, long time.

That was a fun game to watch. I miss entertaining hockey.

Anyone here present at the Bruins playoff series in the 80's? Same thing, but during the game, not opening face-off. All 3 forwards fought on 3 straight face-offs. Don Cherry said ' there's a war going on in Buffalo'. Great series.

Probably because he sees the contracts that Adams hands out. This could be his big payday.

I'm not sure how top teams are handicapped. I also don't agree that the system is designed for parity. How often does the playoff picture change? It's generally the same teams year after year with minimal exceptions. Teams are more often than not able to keep successful teams together making it difficult for non playoff teams to overtake them. The Leafs were able to keep their stars, Tampa did for many seasons...Detroit Ottawa, Buffalo, Chicago...continue to miss. It's very difficult to climb over teams, Buffalo can't afford to make mistakes on top of the natural difficulty in beating out those teams. We need a new GM.

That's worked so well recently. Let's do it again.

This is probably why they are so open to expansion. The entry fee is absurd, but it's a nice chunk of change for each owner.

Regier is arguably the best GM we've had. Punch is certainly in the discussion, but different era. Never understood the hate for him. So much success, yet he gets the blame for Golisano not spending to retain his stars.

There might not be any now, but I bet there were plenty in the off season. I hope you're right and he does better than the 20 point projection.

You didn't do all this research yourself did you? Just to defend Benson? Maybe, like those other players listed, he doesn't belong in the NHL yet. He's on a pace for 20 points this season, so a big step back from last season. You want to be patient, great, and it's not on Benson, it's on the organization. I don't dislike him, but for all the games in the first half of the season where he was invisible, having a quality veteran playing instead might have won us a couple more games, maybe fight a little better for a playoff spot.

Benson isn't expected to score? What is he expected to do, as a first round pick?

I don't get this love affair everyone seems to have with Benson. If he actually contributed some offense, I might get it. No matter how invisible he is on the score sheet, he's immune from criticism.

We've scored 2 or fewer goals in just under 40% of our games. Maybe that's good, but I don't think so.

The problem is that we have trouble scoring against most teams, not just the real good ones. This isnt one of those moral victories. It just confirms that we don't have nearly enough scorers.

Sure, but last year, excusable as a rookie, disappeared for weeks at a time, he had a few 10+ game non scoring streaks. This season all his 4 points were in a 4 game stretch. It's not all in him, but geez, he's a top pick who doesn't score. Should he even be in Buffalo now?

Where's the fire power on lines 2,3 and 4? I know everyone loves Benson, but at some point, he needs to start scoring, right? Even an assist or 2 would be nice.
