It's got to be real depressing getting traded to Buffalo.

Just imagine getting traded from Boston to Buffalo. How depressing that would be.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if Mitts wants to go elsewhere. If I were him, I'd get as far away from Buffalo as possible. He'll get a very good contract on the market and most certainly a better situation overall.

His job is to score goals, not antagonize the other team. The Athletic is pretty inexpensive and an excellent site.

i would prefer people want to come here because it's the Sabres, not because it's closer to home. If they want to win, they won't come here.

I never said anything about players not wanting to be traded here, but I think that's true. Why would any player want to be in Buffalo?

Which team would take on Cozens contract? Can't see him being much of a trade chip.

when you have a multi year $7-$9 million per year contract without accomplishing much of anything. remember when fans would brag about what a great team deal his contract was?

I'm out west and didn't bother to stay up to watch the 3rd period. They were such a fun team to watch last season, they're incredibly boring and bad this season. No fun at all following them. Maybe handing out mega deals like candy isn't the best strategy. When do we over pay Benson, the current flame?

I think it would be a big help if Benson plays. Scoring a goal or 2 might help get him going. I know he looks talented, but he can't score yet. Let's get him on a top line for a couple weeks and see what he can accomplish.

Even 1 point would be nice. Nothing in his last 6, 1 goal in last 10 games. Kinda wasting his first year ELC.
