Take the time to look at the standings. We haven't been this relevant in a while. I know it's only 5 games but the Sabres are ahead of some pretty good teams. I missed the game but great to see #26 get his first goal. He's going to be fun to watch develop. I'm already impressed with his defensive play. The offense will come. Hopefully this was Skinner's coming out party. Sounds like he had a heck of a game. Go Sabres! Let's repeat against the VGK!

The kid is special. I want him being more selfish offensively though. His D and positional play are magnificent.

Sabres missing their jam tonight. Too much looking for the pretty pass and not enough pucks at the net. Dahlin's defensive play is a thing of beauty. I want him putting more pucks on net. He's thinking pass first. PP again, shoot it often and create havoc in front of the net.

I hope to see Jack keep up the solid play. Samson gets a goal tonight. I'd like to see Skinner get rewarded too. Sabres win but McKinnon does some damage. Go Sabres ?

Hockey is back! I’m pumped for this season. Just started listening to WGR. Nylander getting some praise. I hope this is his year. Go Sabres!

My guess is that he’ll wait until the trade deadline when it’s a bit more clear where the SJ and STL picks will fall. There are a lot of unknowns right now that probably lesson their value. I love the Karlsson idea but I don’t think that will happen. We need to find a scoring winger. What about a deal with CHI for Pat Kane? Not sure we can absorb his cap hit but that is an organization that will need to start to rebuild and get younger.

It will be contagious but the team still needs to come out in October and win games to keep the positive momentum IMO.

I was vacationing and missed the draft. I teared up watching the draft day video, this kid is the real deal. Proud to have him as a Sabre.

I think it depends, male sprinters are jacked. MMA fighters are jacked and both are what I would consider quick and agile. By flipping a gigantic tire he's building power throughout his core which could help his start/stop quickness and his ability to have a quick burst of speed. He's also going to be able to crush people into the boards and out muscle in the corners. Flip tires all summer long Rasmus.

This is a great question. I think I would go Carlson because D is a more pressing need than Center. JT’s abilities aside, we need quality top end D who can contribute offensively desperately. Dahlin will take a few years to adjust. In the meantime, I’d take a proven top 1-2 D from a Stanley Cup team (assuming they close out the series).
