I think the quarantining is an NHL thing, not a NYS thing
-
Ullmark, Olofsson, Borgen, Bryson. All 4th round or later. They hit once in a while.
-
Eichel, 7-10 days. Calling hours are Monday at 6pm.
-
You feel that confident that the Sabres are going to hire him?
-
I think, and am hopeful, that he does hold value. At least to some teams. Teams love to add old experienced veteran leadership at the deadline. 🙋🏻‍♂️
-
Jarvis is probably a better prospect than anyone in this upcoming draft class. It could be argued either way, but there isn’t anyone who stands out as being above Jarvis.
-
I don’t know Carolina’s appetite for a trade like this, but this seems a lot more likely than Jarvis.
-
That would be a nice one. I’d say the likelihood is about 0% though.
-
Since the start of their first full season as owners: 716 games played 266-358-92 266 wins, 450 loses
-
This I actually agree with. That’s the only way that it makes sense. If they are going to trade away some big guys and “rebuild” then it’s reasonable to try out an unproven coach like Leaman, and maybe he’ll be really good.
-
Yeah, exactly. I think it’s nuts to give Bennington that contract too! Should be more like $5x3 or something.
-
Ullmark is a UFA after this season, what should we sign him to? About the same contract? Their performances are pretty close over the past couple years.
-
Not a bad choice, as in he is a bad coach, but a risky choice because he has never coached adults or in a pro league. Not ANY Pro league, ever. At a time when the Sabres desperately need people who have experience and know what they are doing, give me the guy who has already shown to be a good NHL coach.
-
Hey man, we are only human. Getting the hot young thing is fun, until you actually have to live with him! Where’s that nice, dependable, but kind of boring guy when you really need him???
-
That’s a baaad deal for an average goalie.

I think people would take the job. For Boudreau in particular, it’s close to home. Every coach gets fired, all of them. They have a shelf life. Boudreau has had success with different types of teams. He brought along a young Capitals team that had never won and helped them become a perennial playoff team. Tell me, what team Boudreau has been fired from that went on to greater success? He gets his team to the playoffs every year. Let’s try that a couple times before we worry about whether someone else could do even more. I’m not looking for a guy that’s “exciting”. I’m looking for someone who’s past accomplishments and experiences will garner respect from the team, and who I know is competent.
-
Looking for a competitive advantage?
-
Yup, I would not be surprised at all. Who knows, he could be really good for the team. He is very highly regarded and I’ve proposed him as a possible candidate in years past. It just seems like a risky proposition at a time when this team desperately needs something dependable to grasp onto.
-
Sure. He doesn’t really get me excited, but putting anyone with a clue as a layer between the Pegulas and a decision seems like a good idea.
-
1) Boudreau 2) Gallant That’s it for me.
-
Krueger had a half season of sub par results. Then he was out of coaching for several years. He was a big unknown. People are asking for a coach with a history of good results at the NHL level. Not just any guy who has coached an NHL game before. Big difference.
-
I have nothing against Nate Leaman, and he could turn out to be a great hire and a great NHL coach, but I think it would be a much wiser choice to hire an experienced, proven NHL head coach.
-
Congrats to Quinner? Quinny? Quinnskie? He’s got to have a fun nickname, right?
-
He did? Says who? Any evidence? Sorry, I just don’t recall hearing this before.

Kelly Pegula designed a Sabres hat and ... wow. Just wow.

You think she was trolling her parents, and they just didn’t get it?
