  1. Only RD who might be worth taking in lottery is Brandt Clarke though, right? And he is an offense first D. Personally, I would go with any position. This draft is strong in LD, so it won’t bother me if they take another LD. I wouldn’t even rule out the goalie.
  2. I just can’t figure out how or why these hounds are owning donkeys.
  3. Is this some old folksy saying that I’m not familiar with?
  4. I feel like he tends to favor Russian league players as well.
  5. Agree. I have a hard time believing that’s even a possibility. Isn’t it likely that Carolina keeps him?
  6. Firstly, thanks for the reply. As for employing you, I certainly am not going to start doing that! If you don’t know or are not at liberty to say, I totally understand. You can just tell me that, no snark required. Honestly, you could have reported something on this that I never saw. I don’t follow your work.
  7. I get what you are saying, but the reason they had the first one was not their idea, but because they were being hounded by the media to do so.
  8. Is he still here?
  9. That would be great. A steal for Buffalo I think.
  10. Perhaps you think it’s unnecessary, or a bad idea, however that doesn’t mean it’s off the table for ownership. Have you heard anything regarding ownership bringing in a high level executive to help them run the team?
  11. While you guys are not wrong. Calling him a soccer coach is just a lazy, tired insult that’s gotten very old for me to read as well. I mean, there are so many basic, legitimate criticisms of Krueger to present, that no one should need to be making silly statements like that.
  12. Here is a nice primer by Steve Kournianos of The Draft Analyst on his top-32 prospects for the 2021 draft. He gives a short paragraph scouting report on each guy. https://www.thedraftanalyst.com/2021-nhl-draft/2021-nhl-draft-rankings-top-32-march/ When thinking about guys for the Sabres, I’m looking for guys who have non stop motors, play a 200 ft game, go to the center of the ice, aren’t afraid to play physical, and have high character. As many of those as possible.
  13. I think Reinhart is a much better player at ES. Better passer, better decisions with the puck, better on the boards, better in front of the net. I think Reinhart does a lot of things well at ES, while I don’t think Olofsson really does anything above average there and should be in the bottom 6. Reinhart is good on the PP too, though Olofsson is probably more dangerous. Their skill sets on the PP are totally different.
  14. Whoa, I think this is flat out wrong. Olofsson and Reinhart are not at all the same type of player.
  15. All Reinhart has to do is go to arbitration this offseason, take the one year deal for however much, then he is a UFA after next season.
  16. Yeah, it wasn’t really related to the merit of your point.
  17. He was 30, “only” in his 10th season. Lidstrom didn’t hit the NHL until he was 21.
  18. 2022 draft is looking to be extremely good. 2021 draft, yeah, kinda.
  19. With a team this bad, I think you need to be willing to explore all possibilities. I like Reinhart a lot, so I kinda hope he stays, but the way his contracts have progressed, it seems like he is headed straight for UFA. So, I get it.
  20. Is anyone else surprised that Darryl Sutter is now the Flames HC?
  21. 5 Step Plan to Revive Sabres Competency: Step 1) Fire Krueger. Step 2) Have an interm HC for the rest of the season. It could be Don Granato, Seth Appert, or even Kevyn Adams. Step 3) Between now and the offseason, hire an experienced, successful FO person to oversee the hockey side of the organization. Step 4) Hire an experienced, successful head coach. Step 5) Fill out the front office by hiring an Assistant GM or 2, and a couple of analytics scouting people.
  22. Looks like he is trying to play connect 4, while everyone else is playing checkers.
  23. This is great. I hope a lot of people got it.
