  1. What about 3 a days? Sorry, I’ll see myself out.
  2. You know, I’m on board for this to get as ugly as possible. Seriously, just keep losing, when fans get in the building half of them are going to boo the team off the ice,the other half will be fans of the opposition. I want maximum embarrassment, because I think that might actually cause a change in the Pegulas’ mindset. I need to break any belief they have that “yes, they know how to run this hockey team”. I just want them to understand that they don’t know what they are doing and need serious help, act on that by bringing in experienced help, and giving up significant control to those brought in to help.
  3. I know he said he can, but no way he can fire Krueger, right?
  4. This is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen from the Buffalo Sabres. For now I’m thinking that the plan has been to just hold on until Nate Leaman’s season with Providence is over, and then they hire him. Im not confident that is true though.
  5. When you have been shut out as many times as you have won, that’s not good. Sabres have not scored a goal in 2.5 games, 7+ periods, 151 mins of play.
  6. What’s the deal with Olofsson being able to shoot on the PP, but not at ES???
  7. Mittelstadt doesn’t look like the worst.
  8. Dallas Star-Troopers?
  9. Agree. I actually think they have been doing a little better lately at this. Cozens, Johnson, Quinn, Peterka seems like an improvement over Nylander and Mittelstadt.
  10. Non-expert disclaimer: It seems to be the general consensus that getting the second shot even up to 3 months after the 1st does not affect the overall effectiveness of the vaccine. So you should be good. I’ve also heard that most people feel pretty whipped out for a couple days after the 2nd vaccine.
  11. Do you guys think the 3 Rasmii will combine to form some sort Mega-Rasmii in this game?
  12. I guess everyone is different. For Risto it might be the best mindset for him. It’s not what I want to hear though, and I definitely don’t think it makes him a leader. He sounds as numb to the loses as most of us fans. I understand why, but it’s surely not a good thing. Sure. I don’t find the quote that mundane though. He is expressing a degree of apathy and disengagement from the situation the team is in.
  13. I disagree. A player who can’t get too worked up about losing 10 in a row is not a player who is going to help lead the team out of it. He is numb to the loses. The players should be losing their ***** right now. I can’t believe people think this is ok, or worse, praise worthy.
  14. Trade him! Seriously, is that a thing that you want one of your better players saying after 10 straight losses, after missing the playoffs in each of the 8 seasons of his career? My thinking right now: They have got to be waiting until Providence is finished their season, so they can hire Nate Leaman, right?
  15. I agree. Considering the terrible situation the team is in, I think they need to really focus on bringing guys who simply refuse to quit. High intensity, high motor.
  16. Yeah, maybe. High risk/high reward. To be honest, this draft is on the weak side, so it may be more like high risk/medium reward. I could be overstating my position a bit.
  17. This is correct. The Pegulas have no good will built up from generally doing a good job of running the team. That’s all been used up long ago. After watching the team be bad for 10 years I think it’s completely fair to assume that whatever they are doing is wrong. I can’t pass the buck away from them. They are going to have to show me some good results before they get even a tiny smidge of a benefit of doubt. This level of failure is not something that just happens in the NHL. It’s literally record setting. In order to be this bad for this long, there needs to be a carefully cultivated sequence of bad decisions, spanning multiple GMs and HCs. So, yes, if the team continues to be terrible, the Pegulas are damned if the do and damned if they don’t.
  18. Hall and Blake Speers to the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for Kevin Bahl, Nick Merkley, Nate Schnarr, a first-round pick in 2020, and a third-round pick in 2021. Hmm, maybe, but I think this undersells the value of Bellows.
  19. Can you find an example of a rental fetching so much?
  20. Depends who the coach is. I don’t think the trade return for Hall will be close to that.
  21. How has everyone felt about the NHL schedule this season? It’s been way too condensed, but I’ve really liked the back to backs in the same city. I think it’s fun and it lessens travels. I was listening to Friedman and he was saying he thought they were here to stay. The players really like them. I think keeping them would be an improvement. I hope they stick around.
  22. Yeah, good point. No team that is a contender is going to want to take on Okposo’s deal.
  23. This is a good question. To me, it depends on the path of the team moving forward. 1) If the team is going to “rebuild”, trading core players for ELC players/picks, definitely take the 1st. 2) If the team is going all in again next season, taking the Okposo parachute deal could make sense. Also, a note on late 1st round picks in the 2021 draft. Because this draft class is going to be somewhat under scouted, I feel like there might be more “misses” than normal. At #25, there could be players on the board who would normally go ~10th in a normal season with a full set of games. Just something to think about.
  24. Exactly. Yes, I can’t imagine that they would take on a bad contract beyond this season in a Hall trade. I just wanted to convey that almost all teams are extremely tight on money, so some fanangling will probably need to happen to make the $ work.
