  1. Yeah, how does “your list” differ from “overall targets”? What are these two rankings?
  2. Could you explain the difference?
  3. It matters a little bit, just like all the other games. I don’t think it matters more just because it’s the most recent thing to happen. It needs to be evaluated for what it is.
  4. Rangers are apparently the only non playoff team in history with 7 untouched players.
  5. They are requiring proof of vaccination, which is good. I have seasonal allergies that flare up pretty bad at times. I’ve had days the past couple weeks that I’ve been pretty sneezy, coughy, and occasionally a little snorty even though I’ve not been sick. Not necessarily saying that’s the case with your guy though.
  6. My workplace just started this week with the policy that if you have been fully vaccinated, you don’t need to wear a mask. So now most are not wearing masks. I don’t love it, but totally understand the need to return to normal. I’m fully vaccinated but I’m still wearing for now.
  7. This is a good line.
  8. Perhaps my wording was harsh, but I’m going to stand with my overall feeling. If Eichel was getting jerked around behind closed doors (I don’t even know what this would mean) then he and his agent can reciprocate harshly behind closed doors. But to put on a show for the media about really needing the surgery, but then changing his tune after changing organizations, that would reflect negatively on him in my eyes.
  9. Definitely not Jack’s fault that the Sabres have been bad. I can completely understand why he might be unhappy. However, Jack made an 8 year commitment and to try to get out of it in an underhanded way would reflect negatively.
  10. So basically some teams/GMs are wondering if Eichel is genuinely insistent on having this surgery or if he is just using this as a way to try to get himself off the Sabres. If Eichel gets traded, then “changes his mind” about the surgery, that’s enough for me to say that he is a phony, self serving liar.
  11. Not in Winnipeg it won’t be a long summer.
  12. I have interest. Offersheets aren’t real, but maybe a trade. At some point I saw that they may not want to give home the raise he might command. I would trade Olofsson plus a little for him. If available, I would be interested in trying to trade for Garland regardless of the Jack/Sam situations.
  13. No mention of Suzuki? IF trading Eichel to MTL, my ideal return would be Suzuki +. Pluses would need to be 2 or 3 of Kokniemi, Caufield, Romanov, Brook, Stubbe, Guhle, 1st round picks.
  14. Correct. His contract was up, and they weren’t able to come to an extension. It was kind of a weird situation, because I think ownership was hesitant to extend him because Washington had been unable to get over the hump and they were considering letting him go, then they went and won the Cup and Trotz said “you didn’t want me? FU.” Or something along those lines.
  15. This is truly a great post.
  16. How is he playing against weaker opponents? Weaker than what? He was going up against pro players mostly from Liiga and KHL. Is that weaker than NCAA or the junior teams he has played? I don’t think so.
  17. I think most of his consternation stemmed from your mention of not wanting Laine, who is not even on the Jets anymore. That’s why he countered with Gil Perrault, who obviously isn’t on the Sabres anymore.
  18. Hope you have a great day filled with love and happiness, and may you please save us all.
  19. Of course it is. You called it “product “ and that’s exactly what it. It’s the end product of the business.
  20. I can’t imagine that Appert signed just a 1 year contract. I’m sure he will be back.
  21. Maybe they have. Or maybe they don’t find his 9 wins and 19 losses that impressive.
  22. Anthony Sciandra (sp?) founding member of website and podcast Expected Buffalo, contributor to DieByTheBlade site. But like someone else said, does it matter who he is? The tweet was just who he personally prefers as coach out of the names that are out there.
  23. @MODO Hockey @Buffalonill Its really all in the beard baby. That’s where the Gronborg mojo is at. For example, would you trust this guy to lead your hockey team? No! Obviously not! He looks out of shape, clueless, directionless, and without answers. As weak as Hod, blind and easily deceived. However, what about this man? Easy yes! Hard yes you could say! Amiright @inkman? This is strong determined leader with a plan and the ability to execute it. Clearly he has all the knowledge and power of Odin, but even better because he still has two eyes! The answer is clear. The power is in the beard. Gandalf, Charles Darwin, Jeremiah Johnson, Santa Clause, Karl Marx, Grizzly Adams; all great men, all great beards. I rest my case.
  24. Yeah. My point wasn’t that Vancouver specifically would do it. More of a general reminder that it can happen.
  25. It wouldn’t be the first time. Can’t completely rule it out. https://www.nhl.com/news/patrick-marleau-traded-to-carolina-by-toronto/c-307988824
