I’m fine with it really. It’s a high upside swing. This guy has the potential to be a dynamic offensive weapon. Everyone needs to understand that he was playing small minutes in an AHL quality league as a 17 year old. If he had been playing in a junior league, he would have lit it up.

We are talking about Boston specifically and I don’t think they have enough guys to pass the torch to to remain contenders. It’s not a ridiculous position that I’m staking out here. Once Bergeron, Krejc, and Rask are gone or ineffective. They will no longer be contenders for a cup. They don’t have the up and coming offensive players.

The idea that you will probably take a step back when most of your good players approach 40 years old is not a misnomer though.

You are probably in the majority. It doesn’t bother me. I wish the schedules were a little more unbalanced and they played teams in division/conference more often. I’m probably weird though.
