I know better than to try to project goalies. But Levi seems like a great dude and just because he was a 7th round pick, that doesn’t mean that his value is still that of a 7th rounder today.

I read the first half of this thread. Is there anything worth reading in the 2nd half? Or did things stay totally off the rails? Anyone get banned? Lol

You do you. If you want to be excited, whose to tell you no? For me, it’s hard to compare UPL vs Portillo vs Levi right now. UPL has the best “pedigree “ but his results haven’t actually been great. Other two have really good results but limited playing time. A full season from each will hopefully go far towards making the situation more clear.

I got the same feeling. Undersized goalie, 7th round pick, plays with broken rib, great attitude.

I’m very interested in this guy. He has basically dominated everywhere he has played for the past 2 years. It very well could be that he wasn’t interested in signing long term. But still you would think he would return more. This is probably less value than the Risto return.

Also, I would say versatile players who can play multiple roles. Quinn we’ve seen play down a lineup, grind, and be solid defensively, Rosen plays the PK. I guess this falls under being coachable, but I just wanted to add.

Yeah, ok, but really these measurements didn’t come from the NHL or NHL teams because these kids haven’t been weighed or measured by the NHL. I don’t see how they could be exactly accurate because they mostly haven’t been updated in many months.

Rest assured that those of us without deep emotional issues that keep us coming back have already been weeded out.

In a sense I also want them to get tougher to play against, however, that doesn’t need to be a primary focus of every single draft pick or player acquisition. They drafted a 6’5” 215 lb guy at #1. It takes all kinds to make up a team.
