  1. But we weren’t doing well.....so it doesn’t really matter if they would come back if we were doing well. We weren’t, and they wouldn’t.
  2. Of course. Only problem with this is that Konecny alone is probably just as valuable as Sam.
  3. I’m concerned about the spelling attempts I’ll see for Poltapov, Kisakov, Sardarian, Marjala, Von Barnekow, and Novikov. I mean, a fair number of posters are still having trouble with Staal after like 15 years, so I’m worried for them.
  4. It’s top-10 protected, not lottery. If it’s top 10 it becomes a 2023 1st.
  5. I find this post to be rather disingenuous. Surely you realize that Hall, Staal, Montour were UFAs who would not be returning for next season either way. Yet you listed them as part of a tanking strategy.
  6. From where did you hear that Kjell Samuelsson is trying to guide his son out of the Sabres organization? What I would like to know is if you actually heard this from a source, or if you are just assuming. Either way, Sabres hold Samuelsson’s rights for 6 more years. Things may be different by then.
  7. One other thing from this presser. Adams seemed to indicate that McCabe wouldn’t be back, or at least that they were no longer negotiating.
  8. The blueprint that seems to have been laid out is 4 good young pieces, of 1st round pick equivalent value.
  9. Whose blueprint? Not the blueprint that Adams has laid out.
  10. Kisakov of Death and Poltapov Cocktail Russian names are fun.
  11. It all depends on the deal though doesn’t it. If Minnesota was trying to say Dumba, Rask, Boldy/Rossi, and a 1st, is that enough?
  12. All I can add to this is that this Adams remark was not unprompted. It was in direct response to a question along the lines of “Is there any chance at all that Eichel is on the team at the start of next season, or is the relationship just too broken?” With that question, I’m not sure what else Adams is supposed to say.
  13. Took a shot on a guy who they probably think developed a lot, but didn’t play games to shoe it in.
  14. *Checks calendar* Its July. Let’s wait until we have a roster before we start (all but) guaranteeing multiple 10+ game losing streaks. I get that it looks like they will be very bad, but come on.
  15. I know better than to try to project goalies. But Levi seems like a great dude and just because he was a 7th round pick, that doesn’t mean that his value is still that of a 7th rounder today.
  16. I read the first half of this thread. Is there anything worth reading in the 2nd half? Or did things stay totally off the rails? Anyone get banned? Lol
  17. You do you. If you want to be excited, whose to tell you no? For me, it’s hard to compare UPL vs Portillo vs Levi right now. UPL has the best “pedigree “ but his results haven’t actually been great. Other two have really good results but limited playing time. A full season from each will hopefully go far towards making the situation more clear.
  18. I got the same feeling. Undersized goalie, 7th round pick, plays with broken rib, great attitude.
  19. I like it. He seems like someone who could have gone a couple rounds earlier.
  20. Well, he played in the MHL, so that checks out
  21. I’m very interested in this guy. He has basically dominated everywhere he has played for the past 2 years. Also to become a high level goalie at 6’0”, you know he has consistently dealt with being told that that he can’t, isn’t big enough, won’t make it, etc. He seems like an extremely determined kid. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.collegehockeynews.com/news/amp/2021/01/31_Levis-Process-Lead-to-World.php
  22. Another CHL guy! Some more size! Good numbers! Another wing though? Looks like his big thing might be that the skating needs work.
  23. A CHL guy! Some size! Can he play though?
  24. Yeah, no kidding right?
