Mittelstadt and Jokiharju Out for ~2 Weeks (Edit: ~2 Months?!)
Curt replied to That Aud Smell's topic in The Aud Club
This is the end result of the consistently allowed slashing that I can not understand why it’s part of hockey. It blatantly happens and goes uncalled all the time, and I’m always baffled as to why. -
I thought he really acted as a 4th forward quite often, joining the rush/transition even when he didn’t have the puck, sometimes skating beyond the puck carrier. It was absolutely different than he has played the past couple years. If he is really able to have success playing this way, it could be transformative for the team’s offense.

80+ point year guaranteed AND Make Playoffs or I will delete my account
Curt replied to Nozlen's topic in The Aud Club
No way. That’s just too hard to do in the NHL. 16-66. 1-0 so far, they will win more than 15 of their next 81. -

Super late reply, but.......if you flip an IPhone camera to “selfie mode” (so you see yourself on the screen) it’s always mirrored.

Dreger: Eichel situation may be shifting, multiple teams involved
Curt replied to Hoss's topic in The Aud Club
Thanks for clarifying. My apologies for the off base accusation. -

I hope the bolded was not an attempted shot at the Dr’s integrity. It only makes sense that an expert witness would express an opinion in line with those who hired him. If he didn’t agree with their position he would never have taken the job in the first place. Edit: Reading further, it clearly was a shot at the doctor’s integrity. I can’t understand the reasoning though. -
Long term leaders I mean. I guess we just have a difference of opinion on that. I think the idea of changing the captaincy around from player to player is not very practical in most cases. I would have been fine with Okposo as a stop gap captain for a couple years though.
-
The thing is, you shouldn’t name a captain until you know who the natural leaders are. That’s kind of my whole point. Thats why they shouldn’t name one yet. From a human nature perspective, I think we can understand why flip flopping the captaincy between core players year to year is not very practical. People will get upset.
-
It does not imply that to me. To me it reflects the reality that this is a team in a transition period, and who the long term leader(s) will be is not clear. To me, naming a captain should not be a year to year thing but instead a long term commitment.

1) Leading scorers - Goals, Assists and Points Routsalainen- 24 goals Dahlin- 47 assists Dahlin- 57 points 2) Team record 31-43-8 70 points 3) Team MVP Dahlin 4) Team ROY Routsalainen 5) First Player traded Eichel 6) First player recalled from Rochester Brett Murray 7) Surprising in season move (trade or acquistion) Victor Olofsson is traded at the deadline. 8.) Best surprise player Routsalainen 9) Biggest disappointment Victor Olofsson Any other bold predictions (or not so bold). Eakin gets sent to Rochester at some point.

I’m not pissed about it. I don’t even live in the Buffalo area. It’s just that people who do live in the area support the team year after year after year, and then the owners move this big event to another city. I understand that it maybe was a better financial move and I guess it’s nice that Canadian Sabres fans will be able to go, but I just don’t think it’s right. It’s something that locals could have been excited about and local businesses could have benefited from.
-
Ok, sure. Why did you even reply to me then?
-
Do the Sabres have a bigger event this season? Honesty asking? An outdoor game is a pretty big PR deal.
-
In this situation, he is “off the clock” as you say. I don’t need my hockey players to maintain some sort of kayfab facade that because they play for different teams they can’t be seen together publicly. He was in the same city as these guys, he is friends with some of them, they went to a baseball game together. It’s nothing to me.
-
I meant for the Sabres’ season. It’s the Sabres’ biggest event of the season. Events the the Sabres ownership actually has control over.
-
Mad? No. But they are holding the season’s largest event in another city. I don’t think it’s right. Compared to Eichel going to a playoff baseball game in his home town with some of the Boston Bruins, which I can find no fault with.
-
Buffalo Sabres playing home games (actually their biggest event of the whole season) in another city = bothers me. Jack Eichel at a baseball game in Boston = does not bother me.
-
I come across as old?! Let’s hear more about this google thing. Sounds like a board game or something.
-
Never heard it.

Pu-terkah Wasn’t Routsalainen playing C? Did they move him back to wing?
-
Based purely off context, I guess I understand, but WTF does “feeling his oats” mean?
